Essence and form of electronic music. Vergil is one of those rare artists who, despite their young age, has mastered both. Over a lifetime of studies and performances in the more analogue fields of percussive music, Vergil has managed to create an intriguingly recognizable body of sound. His sharp ear for rhythms, his meticulous eye of detail, and his firm sense of aesthetics have already set him up for skyrocketing his talents across the globe. His vision of Techno, you ask? Everything you know, nothing you’d expect. Synth lines stripped down to their sonic bones, woven inside percussive bacchanals for the gods. Minimalistic, yet groovy.

We inaugurate the new year with a set whose energy still snakes through the trees of the Komorebi Music Festival. A set capable of subjugating bodies to the rhythm of a darkness dense of strong techno and synergies.
It was an untamable ride with which Wrong Assessment closed the curtain on Saturday night: powerful bpm that scratched the earth and overwhelmed the crowd.

In 2007 Marie-Julie spent 52 weeks in Berlin. She returned home with a bag full of vinyl records. Her style is heavily inspired by the numerous visits to Berghain and Hardwax that year. After playing at the legendary Fuse club in Brussels and De School in Amsterdam, she gained a spot in the Belgian underground techno scene. In 2012 she formed together with other techno enthusiasts the techno collective TRP (www.instagram.com/trpgent), organizing several in- and outdoor parties in Ghent. She plays energetic and groovy techno, using only two turntables and a mixer.

Ma Haiping is a Chinese techno producer and DJ. He began to listen to electronic music on radio in the 90’s. Around 2000, when he was 19, he began to make industrial and experimental music. 

A few years later, he was triggered by stories of Underground Resistance and Drexciya then started making techno, and influencing by Jeff Mills’ futuristic sci-fi aesthetics.  In 2013, he released EP ‘The Chinese Connection‘ on the Scan 7 label Cratesavers International, which made him the first Chinese producer releases techno music in Detroit.In year 2015. 

He released EP ‘Crepuscular Rays‘ on the Orlando Voorn’s label Nightvision. In 2016 and 2020, Ma released two albums, Folding Traces (D- Force Records) and Lost Frontier（Taihe Records) in China.  He participated every important moment of Chinese underground club since 2000, and grew up with China’s electronic music culture. 

Since 2004, he’ve been participating legendary parties Antidote and VOID, and opened the curtain of the Chinese underground techno party culture. Once performed with Juan Atkins, Robert Hood and others, and worked hard to promote the development of Chinese local techno with his music.

Jeff Mills’ “The Bells” is one of the most iconic tracks in techno history, often called the genre’s anthem. Known for its hypnotic bell melody, driving kick, and euphoric build, it became a staple in DJ sets worldwide. The track was first played live by Mills in 1995 (e.g., at Liquid Room in Tokyo), but it wasn’t officially released until 1997 as part of the Kat Moda EP on his Purpose Maker label. This EP is the original record pressing you’re asking about—no standalone “The Bells” single exists from that era. It has since been repressed multiple times due to massive demand (over 500,000 copies sold across versions).
