Description:Club Pop trio Pixel Grip take a breather from the rave to play some new songs from their upcoming album, ARENA, as well as some tracks from their favorite records. The Chicago based outfit takes inspiration from sweaty, seedy clubs, yet embraces all genres and will always have an affinity for good pop songs. I was elated to be asked by Mike for this Sky/Lab mix series set. Knowing there's a lot of crossover in the group from House to Techno I wanted to journey into a deeper, moodier, tech side of my collection. This set was improvised and recorded live in one take at home on turntables and Serato in the wee hours of the morning. To me this set is what I might play at a mountain campout party or apres rave setting, deep and heady.

Toyacoyah is an indigenous DJ that draws inspiration from both ancestral rhythms and modern-day breakbeats, bringing a unique fusion of influences to her DJ sets. This avid record collector began her DJ journey in the late 90s curating beats for a drum n’ bass radio show at the University of Oklahoma. Following graduation, she ventured to Austin,Texas, where she continued pushing the drum n’ bass sound at raves + clubs across
Texas, Colorado, California, and even internationally in Brazil.
During her time in Austin, she was one of the original resident DJs for Mental Note, a night dedicated to liquid funk + jazzy drum n’ bass at Plush nightclub. 
Now residing in Chicago, she’s embarked on a new chapter in her musical journey sharing her passion for the faster tempos she loves with audiences across the Midwest. Her high-bpm selections have given her the opportunity to play alongside some of her favorite producers including Addison Groove, Andy C, Drumagick, Fabio, LTJ Bukem, Random Movement, Roni Size, and Sam Binga. Expect to hear the full spectrum of bass sounds in her sets, as she works her way through electro, breaks, juke, jungle,footwork and more.

Road to Backwoods Tour 2023

Forged in the electronic counterculture of Detroit in the late '90s, hEADaCHE's signature blend of DnB, Techno, and Glitchhop attracted the attention of underground festivals and labels. His unique sound--via the band CEOXiME--was brought to Chicago when the band was signed to Invisible Records. After releasing the well-received Highly Dangerous Defects (hEADaCHE remixes volume 2) hEADaCHE realized his true passion lay in remixing. hEADaCHE developed Uncoiled Loops, a label dedicated to his own singular vision--particularly remix artistry. Thus began an intense and furiously creative time, during which hEADaCHE released more than 50 individual remixes, with the support of labels such as Metropolis, Tinman, 
Invisible, DSBP, Noise Plus, and Social Sciences. Through Uncoiled Loops, hEADaCHE also released several full compilations of his remixes (with the artists' permission).
