HTS Records is a Paris and Marseille based record label launched in 2012 which aims at celebrating club culture in its diversity through compilations, singles, EPs as well as radio shows and mixes for platforms like LYL or Egregore.

Since then, the label has featured many artists such as SVANI, Siete Catorce, Merca Bae, Epic B, MINA, Don Sinini, raHHH, Luar Domatrix, Ghetto Vanessa, SHE Spells Doom and VANYFOX to name a few.

The label is run by Sweet Juju, Bel Est and Stonesheet, three friends coming from different backgrounds in music, and makes its influences more relevant and richer. Each member has his own vision of club music and brings to the label its knowledge and culture to boost the project.


Sweet Juju is a french DJ and record label owner of HTS Records, alongside Stonesheet and Bel Est. Freshly arrived in Marseille after a few years in Paris, Brussels and her hometown Lille, she has always been very attracted to club music and the very diverse styles behind it, all destined to one purpose : the dancefloor. She’s been carrying a monthly radio show on Internet Public Radio for a year now and has been exploring since then the wide spectrum of club music.

MIDAS 104 ( URSL // KATERMUKKE // Berlin ) presents Afterhour Sounds Podcast 104

Passenderweise zeichnet sich für unsere #104 der großartige Musikvirtuose MIDAS 104 verantwortlich. Wie viele Produzenten von elektronischer Musik liegen auch seine Anfänge in den Tiefen des Hip-Hop verborgen. Als Berliner Kind ist es natürlich nur eine Frage der Zeit bis man eines Tages auch Berührungspunkte mit elektronischer Musik erfährt, was in seinem Fall ein sehr prägendes Erlebnis gewesen sein muss. 

Auf sein Debüt-Release im Jahr 2013 auf Katermukke​ folgten mittlerweile etliche sehr erfolgreiche Veröffentlichungen auf so namhaften Labels wie URSL​ - Einmusika Recordings​ - Crossfrontier Audio​ - Parquet Recordings​ - Dantze​. Allein die Labels auf denen der Berliner seine Produktionen bisher veröffentlicht hat liest sich wie das 'Who is Who' der elektronischen Musikszene. Solche Erfolge kommen natürlich nicht von ungefähr, so stehen seine Produktionen für eine außergewöhnlich hohe Qualität und Vielfalt. Ein weiteres Qualitätsmerkmal ist die stetige Weiterentwicklung seines Sounds, gerade wenn man sich einmal etwas intensiver mit seiner Musik beschäftigt hat, dann sticht dieser Prozess besonders hervor. Dieser Fakt lässt darauf schließen, dass wir auch in Zukunft noch sehr viel Freude mit den musikalischen Werken des sympathischen Berliners haben werden.  

Wir möchten uns ganz herzlich bei unserem lieben Freund MIDAS für sein Vertrauen in unser Projekt und sein musikalisches Meisterwerk bedanken mit dem wir euch nun maximalste Unterhaltung wünschen.

SYNOPSIS
As a child you dreamt nightly of forest and immortals: tribes of experimental bears and wolves. You recorded secrets shouted by cicadas, who first heard them whispered from roots of the great central tree. In this hypogeal gossip, sky dwellers were the evil ambitious gods. You were told, “It’s the underworld, deep below the soil, that’s where you are loved”.
You’d wake with sleep sand in your eyes and disbelieve the elves and their paintings. You’d even find the rumours from the tree a little slanted. But that one dream, with the boiling hand and ladybug ice cubes, the face buried in the funeral garden—that, you never forgot. When it proved a kind of premonition, you became a shadow self.
Your thoughts became a monoculture, writing the same fantasy on repeat. Over and over again your fiction coddled the creatures who once lived in your dreams, until the numbness spread and they could no longer hold a lute, let alone fend off pests.
