Señor Chugger, a prolific Bristol-based producer and remixer, makes his debut on Wrong Era with an EP filled with his unique blend of euphoric synth lines and sophisticated, arcane themes. His music immerses listeners in a synth-ridden realm, offering a collection of instant classics. The EP, 'Sunset On The A38' , also includes remixes from Wrong Era Label heads Sesto Senso and fellow label affiliate Radondo.

Señor Chugger sets the tone with '75 To Seafront ', a track that kicks the release into high gear. The tight, weighty drums and metallic pads create a powerful backdrop, while the descending bass-arp adds a visceral element. '75 To Seafront' seamlessly combines Chugger's monstrous bass tones and fluttering emotional melodies, creating a journey of euphoria with each rhythmic combination.

'Party In A Field In Cornwall' flirts with flashes of early UK house and Señor Chuggers special blend of Italo Disco. A creamy synth line, singing over a rasping, defined bass riff, unfolds into the mix. Still in keeping with the solidity of the intro track, percussion is robust and melodics are carefully detailed. The midway point of the EP is marked with the endlessly emotive and sophisticated 'Festival Skyline'. Painting an artful sonic depiction of its title' Festival Skyline' breathes a modern breath onto the golden era of new wave with choral harmonies that bring a tear to the eye and a bassline that anchors these emotions.

Stepping into the synthwave 'From The Harbour' weaves into flange-soaked electro. A swirling synth hook dances over a pulsating bass arp. Deliciously tuned vocoder lines swim through the crisp instrumentation with punctual vocal stabs. Choral pads join the medley preempting sliced vocal chops that put his elegant sound design on full display. These vocals whip across the stereo field, concluding the track's excitement.

'Sunset On The A38' closes with the fittingly named Devon Expressway. An anthemic pad-driven atmospheric piece with dimly lit twilight imagery. A tweeting synthline clambers over the augmented low-end hinting at the central theme to come. Haunting choral synths chant and swathes of pads sweep through the arrangement. A CMI cries out, and an enigmatic melody pricks the ears. Señor Chugger combines his innate gift of pushing genre boundaries, painting sonic scenes with effortless charm.

Along with these 5 shimmering tracks, label heads Sesto Senso and Wrong Era's Radondo join the release with remixes of '75 To Seafront' and 'Festival Skyline'. The illustrious collaboration of Fabrizio Mammarella and Franz Scala brings their signature metallic arps and earth-shattering drums to the remix. Respectfully lifting key elements from the original and injecting them with their infectiously energetic flair, a peak-time dancefloor gem is born. Radondo gives 'Festival Skyline' a stripped-back rework, letting the choral harmonies of the original shine forth. His signature percussive approach tows the line for an infectious bassline to dance below the arps of Señor Chugger.

For the first Edit of the label, @oltrefuturo edits DMX Krew´s single "The Wiggly Worm" from the 2018 EP of the same name and released via Super Rythm Trax.


For this Edit, Oltrefuturo kept the original groove while slowing it down and doing what he loves doing for his own craft: a Trance A Lento sub 100bpm, subjugating the bass and vocals curling up nicely with the subtle percussive elements.  The listener is brought straight into a cosmic realm that could be either pictured as a monk ceremony in a temple in the Himalaya or a transcendental dance of the incas on top of the Machu Piccu. 

In the andante, we believe. Opening or closing : this is your call.

Vyvyan is Bonar Bradberry’s solo project stripping club music to its core while expressing a deep love for dance music culture. His 2022 debut album, Y, balanced rough-edged percussion with warped melodies. "Waterslide EP" pushes this sound further with Gallegos stepping in to remix the monumental title track.
Bradberry is also known for his work as one half of the Leeds-based duo PBR Streetgang.

A betrayal is an unexpected twist. A moment of schizophrenia where the world is turned upside down. We feel the curvature of the earth and it becomes explicit to us that there is something on the other side of our world that we didn't know. Or that we don't really know our world as we thought we did. It feels like a wobbling of the ground on which we tread, frantic, torn and passionate at the same time. But we can also betray ourselves. We betray ourselves by taking different paths that lead to places we did not think of. How does a betrayal sound, how does it feel, in what frequencies and energies does it vibrate? Ultimately, what is there is always an unforeseen. "Traiciones" plays with the idea of what we can feel when we feel betrayed, but also that the tracks themselves betray us, or by taking different paths than expected, by changing the bpm in the middle of the track, or by promising a track that will never exist.

On was released 10 years ago. It features the hit single On and ON and Moisture which was licensed for Xavier Dolans acclaimed movie Laurence Anyways. The release comes in a Delux edition and it features all the remixes, Dubs and extra Versions that came out on various formats when it was originally released.

The album was Robi’s second Full featured Album as Headman and it featured many Artists like Stephen Dewaele from Souldwax/2many Djs, Anthony from Radio 4, Mattie Safer from The Rapture and  Tara from It Rough fame and many others. Remixes are by Trevor Jackson’s Playgroup and Mustapha 3000 (Erol Alkan).

The Album contains 11 tracks with influences from new wave, post punk, early house and electronica. The first track on the album features vocals with Anthony Roman from Radio 4. The Band was strongly inspired by the early NY underground and Post-Punk sounds. Track number 2 Roh was with vocals by Stephen Dewaele, the backing track is like a proto-house track with dummachines and synths. Next is On and On with Tara from It Rough fame. So Now! was an instrumental version that was first released together with So Then! on 12“ Vinyl. Robi added vocals himself for Do You Feel. Moisture wich was featured in the coming out scene in Laurnce Anyways Movie is next with Vocals by Luca Santucci. Freedom Drums was another Headman Instrumental. Matties Safer from The Rapture contributed on Balearica and next up is Upstart. Track No 10 is a cover by the NYC underground band Marilyn and the Moviestars which Robi was always a big fan of.The reprise was with vocals by Ed Laliq and the Bonus track came out of an London afternoon session and ended with vocals by Ben Rymer and Erol added some backings too.

The Bonus tracks are Remixes and version that came out on 12“ and other formats.
So Then! was the B side of So Now!. Then comes Rong Hands Dub. Trevor Jackson remixed Roh as Playgroup. One versions with Vocals by Stephen Dewaele and one as a Love Dub. Erol’s Mustapha 3000 version of Moisture is next! Robi Did a Club version which was used in Xavier Dolans movie and he also did a Dub of Moisture. The last Bonus versions are edits and the last track is Deah that was only released on Vinyl and on a very limited edit 12“ on Relish.

Been blogging, music sharing, etc. for a while now (see blog under this name) & DJing since 1982. I like all kinds of music.

Most of my playlists are not organized & just hold songs I'm interested in, many of which I haven't listened to yet. The "freeform current listening" playlist is as it says & will be updated regularly. Many of my reposts were unintentional, they were just random tracks I was trying to add to a playlist using my phone & I've got clumsy fingers.

Robi Insinna is a Producer, DJ, Visual Artist and INDUSTRIA and RELISH owner.

Back in 2001 he founded the seminal Relish label in direct response to a then-dominant sound in club music. Its catalogue is as vast as it is varied and foreshadowing the music he'd go on to make himself under Headman/Manhead. Some highlights are IT ROUGH, Birth School Work Death, in the early years for the newer period tracks such as Be Loved, Dechainee. He also was busy remixing the likes of Roxy Music, The Gossip, Franz Ferdinand, The Units, Unknown Cases, Gina X and many more.
Relish has also been busy releasing international talents and remixes such as Daniel Avery, Red Axes, Borusiade, Manfredas.


Fast forward to 2018 he's on the move again launching new Project label, Industria with - not quite an album, not quite an EP - Hard Work. The debut was released under Robi's own name.
Industria will be focused more on vinyl releases, but not solely vinyl. The project will encompass all areas of Robi's work and ties together elements of his art and visual design projects and products.
