Next up on the @idlecellars mix series is a dear friend and one of my fave selectors @cherrystones. When I was asked to curate these mixes the simple premise is to arrange a soundtrack that would accompany a nice glass of wine as the sun goes down. So when I asked Gareth Goddard aka Cherrystones (aka Godsy to his friends) for a contribution I knew it was going to be something really special and what an epic treat it is. G has always been ahead of the curve musically. So much so, people have created entire record labels around his discoveries and whilst people struggle to keep up he’s always a few steps ahead. I’ve often tried to get him to slow down so people can catch up. That’s never gonna happen. Truth is, I’ve learnt so much from Godsy. Winter came and everybody stayed inside. While the soft white blanket of the first winter snow never came, the days were short and the heat of the club was not present to warm our souls. In this time it was that young and emerging UK digger Kayne the Hermit selected some of his favourite synthesised, wintery sounds to compile a mix that reminisces over this lonely winter that we can now finally leave behind us. Since the launch of our website we have been wondering who to ask for the first one in a new series of mixes until one of our absolute favourite DJs in the whole world placed an order in the store. Naturally, we wasted no time and immediately seized the opportunity to ask him for a mix. He was happy to do so and delivered very quickly.

We are excited to present to you this wonderful mix by the legendary digger, DJ and resident at the infamous Potato Head Beach Club in Bali that is DJ Dea. Just how he has managed to remain so fairly unknown for all those years is an absolute mystery to us.

Straight from the mountains, our friend Orsett is taking over the fourth volume of our "Guest Mixes" series. 

Originally from Paris, he organizes "Strangelove ღ" parties in the french part of Switzerland and is also a member of Traffic, responsible for "Histoire de Plaire" nights in Lausanne. 
Infused with new age, eccentric synthpop and reggae-not-reggae sounds, the mix includes forgotten tracks from Switzerland which will be reissued in a dedicated compilation early next year, in collaboration with Maxi Fischer from Décalé.

It would seem that quality deejays grow on trees in Canada considering how many top mixes we've had on the page from the neck of the woods and this one's no different. We always keep a eye open for Cam's uploads on his YouTube page where he shares all sorts of unknown top quality fodder. Link below.
