Jacala is a trio from Osnabrück, Germany, and Bergamo, Italy. Their quest for the golden mean between pop and dance music has been developing since the early 10's. They have received support from high-profile artists such as Nicky Romero and work with labels such as Armada Music and Spinnin Records.

In 2018 they contributed their remix for Aaron Lindt‘s ‘Collide‘ via Universal Music. With their first original single ‘You By My Side‘ Jacala got listed on Spotify playlists such as ‘New Music Friday Germany’. All this makes Jacala an interesting newcomer everybody should have on their watchlist.

Bottles has been added to Spotify Dance Brandneu and has been put in the Spotlight already. More to come...

As always I did my best work on this project, so I'd love to explain to you what I actually did:

First I started with the melody. I love the original one so I didnt want to change it and only added the Una Corda, which is my piano of choice in almost every production due to its fine and warm sound it delivers with its single string mechanics. Great to have it.

Another important thing to mention is the first verse. I wanted to give it as much tension as possible to prepare the listener for the genre. At the same time I tried to give Vera's voice the harmonic backing it deserves. The result is a warm ensemble and those bass dominated vocal effects every fourth bar. 

Near the end of the verse I added parts of the drums. I thought that's an important step. Otherwise the transition to the drop probably would have been to hard. Without it nobody would expect a four on the floor beat in the drop. And I dont like my listeners to be too confused... ;)

Next step was to DROP THE BASS.
So the main contents are actually just the drums, the bass and the additional vocal I've added saying "rushing back". The goal was to give the listener a dry and pumping experience in transition to the warm and rich verses. The idea behind the "rushing back" vocals was to have a huge transition between the connection to Flume's original song and my remix. The additional vocal instantly changes the mood of the song. 

So, that's it. Remix is finished and I hope you guys like it!
