“On Ponzi Bridge” is an unusual blend of the catchy and the strange that delivers a wry commentary on 21st Century Western culture and society in crisis.

Whether it is squelchy analogue bass lines or beautiful cascading strings, school orchestra style off pitch oddness or darkly beautiful melodies, “On Ponzi Bridge” explores our current predicament of recession, cuts and the collapse of old certainties by drawing on a wide range of musical influences and cultural reference points.

Treading the line between the epochal and the domestic “On Ponzi Bridge” serves up themes and narratives that are both human and universal. Inspired by such diverse musical sources as the Americana scores of Aaron Copland and the music of The Residents, to name but two, this album further develops a previous emphasis on the eclectic whilst delivering what is possibly his most cohesive collection of tracks to-date.
