I wrote this song just before Christmas when it hit me how often I feel discontent, like something’s always missing. I keep wanting "more," never feeling like I have enough.

I wrote this song when I had just ended a long friendship and my husband had just lost his dad. One night in the kitchen, we were both talking about how we kept finding ourselves reaching for our phones to reach out to them and how hard it was not being able to.

“Bruised Ego” is a personal reflection on vulnerability and the journey toward self-acceptance. It shares my struggles with embracing imperfections and the feelings of unworthiness that many of us face. The inner critic was on full blast—telling me I wasn’t enough, wasn’t doing it right, should probably give up.
Instead of believing it, I turned that voice into a song.
This one’s for the overthinkers, the perfectionists, and the people doing their best even when it feels like too much.

“I Just Wait” is about when you’re so overwhelmed you freeze, but still hold on with everything you’ve got. I wrote it in of a season where I felt stuck, exhausted, and unsure of what step to take next. It’s about those times when life piles up and you keep showing up anyway, even when progress feels invisible. This song is a reminder that waiting doesn’t mean you’ve failed- it’s part of the process, part of the fight, and part of becoming who you’re meant to be.
