I sampled "Across The Universe" from the 1969 Beatles Album "Let it Be" (their last one), a couple days after Queen Elizabeth II passed away for another project. 

[Maybe this has been my favorite Beatles song...]

Initially intended as ceremonial, this stretched my imagination to deeper tones of the UK region. Whether, Celtic/Gaelic and just knowing that English born John Lennon is on guitar. I hope that most if not at all may identify in a certain, original, Euro-American way.

Technically, I extended the loop out to about 10 mins. and named it "Tribunal". Utilizing my trusty Logic Pro X with minor mixing to clean the track but not too much capturing essence of the dimensional moment. As if any Peoples could be surrounded around a fire, playing acoustic instruments or listening via any sound system as it was recorded. For meditation, dancing or what have you. 

Further, the incidental and subtle background crickets presented another layer, which to me, provided a peaceable, folky thing for anyone to experience.

A celebration of cultures from the passing of one. That's what I was going with here.

23 years ago, I was absolutely certain that I wanted to be a performing artist. From my interest in creative writing in high school and my love of music, I wanted to help people in the same way that it had helped me. Later that 1999 year, that dream changed entirely, when learning I would be a Dad.

I was able to explore this dream in my 30's, evident to some of my drafted work here on SoundCloud.

The shortened version of this, which I tell my fellows, is that I always wanted to be a Rock Star and party as much as I could. It appears to me in all vulnerable earnest that the higher power of my own understanding, had something else planned for me. Perhaps that is fundamental to everyone in some way or another...
