Aphex Twin - Orphans

No Body is the solo alias of American artist/multi-instrumentalist Sean Lynch, who previously fronted the Detroit band 800beloved. No_Body underlines the absence of additional musicians to present limitations and possibilities for audio arrangement. Avoiding laptop and software for a more human approach to electronic hardware, Lynch's accompaniment is sourced from live sampling, fx modulation and MIDI cc with no prerecorded “sound”. No Body debuted live in 2012 in New York City at The Double Seven Lounge, followed by two Detroit appearances, including support for Lust for Youth, later releasing ‘The Uncanny Valley’ in 2014. The album was recorded in three locations from 2011—2013 and unanimously found best experienced while driving alone. ‘Valley’ maximized a focus on identity, affective computing, sexual roles and innuendo, gasoline, ruin and our culture's dissolving physicality. It saw a limited run of 100 hand screened compact discs in chipboard sleeves with a packet of matches for self-disposal.

Lynch began recording a follow-up to 'Valley' in August of 2018 under the title, ‘The Memory of Glass’.
