Western Canada’s underground scene has begun to shine and perhaps one of the brightest lights of the movement is the vinyl label, @heart-to-heart-recs. Keeping things in the commonwealth, label heads Bron and Secret Lover have tapped Aussie breakout @Subjoi for their next release.

A long time coming, HTH008 has already taken the internet by storm with the A1, a cheeky lofi rework of Kristine Blonds Love Shy, amassing almost a million plays on YouTube since its posting last year by Slav. As we've come to expect from Heart to Heart, the curation proves strong through all four tracks, with each cut showcasing different aspects of tastes shared by both the artist and the label. And although this is possibly the label's most approachable release, it stays true to their ever-growing catalog of versatile, stripped back dance music.

On the premiere, we’ve got IDK. A crunchy acid jam with slamming drums and an infectious vocal line. The thunderous kick is simultaneously relentless and hard to pin down as it thumps along under chord stabs and distorted hats — frequently interrupted with one-off fills and cuts. This adds a lot of interest and gels well with the unpredictable structure of the track that stays true to its name. About halfway through, things start to hit the rave and an acid line trickles in before becoming the focus of the track. The vocals keep the track grounded and relatable as it stomps along at an exhilarating 134BPM, leaving the listener unintentionally breathless by the song's end.

Following up his heavily favorited "Springtime Forever' released earlier this year on Sweden's tasteful house imprint Omena Records.  The Goddess will resonate well with house heads with love for the East coast house sound. Packed with punchy drum beats and full spectrum instrumentation, these tunes are designed to lift ones soul and turn any frown upside down. The title track "Life Review" literally brings out the sun with string sections that relax even the hardest of humans, spreading love without even saying a word. "Strung out Ditty" hits us deep with its tracky vibe and unforgettable bassline, wrapped in progressive string sections. It builds you up from the inside out, taking your mind and feet to new levels.  Capping off the record, "Death is A Door' and "I Guess I want a Family" will bring you right back to the streets of New Jersey with that classic deep house feel reminiscent of early Bottom Line releases and Tony Humphries productions.

Firm FH Favourites, Heart to Heart return to the fray with their 12th record to date, this one from the ever mysterious yet recently prolific, @Westcoast-Goddess who follows up on the highly revered 'Springtime Forever', released earlier this year on Sweden's tasteful house imprint Omena Records.

WG's production style manages to retain a level of playfullness while ensuring the floor is at the centre to the tracks aura. This entire EP utterly echo's that sentiment, each track flaunting enough saturation to warrent a full perscription of beta blockers, while maintaining an element of classic dance flavour. This Premiere features 'Life Review', a real umami cut, delivering salty undertones and sweet zings in a supremely balanced fashion.
