Mood Series continues to pump out some of the best sounds in the scene with their signature series. #87 highlights a veteran producer that is well respected and admired. Mr. Markus Masuhr. 'Midsommakransen EP' is complete with 5 outstanding pieces in total. Occasionally there are sprinkles of creative audio samples that really hook you in along with the amazing depth of each addictive composition. 'Askersund' is the prime builder that sets stage for a trip into sounds from the deep abyss. Classic dub techno style surrounds you in this brilliant opener. 'Hanaskog' is one we can't get enough of here at Greyscale. This one really hooks you in to the addictiveness of a Markus Masuhr patterned song. The synergy between all the sounds is a master class of proper minimalism in techno. You could say that about 'Junosuando' as well. The echo and delays are used expertly to make the most from this techno design. The EP finishes with a darker warehouse techno sound in 'Skagersvik' with its epic build and sublime release of tension from this thriller. Midsommakransen EP hits on all the levels. Classic dub techno fans and newer deep techno fans are both sure to appreciate this installment.

Here, Charley Chaplin's timeless speech from 'The Great Dictator' is artfully woven into the fabric of the music. Through the epic voice of the 303 synthesiser, the seriousness of the turbulent times humanity finds itself navigating is amplified.

As Chaplin's poignant words echo through the mix, the 303 takes center stage, delivering a commanding performance that underscores the gravity of unchecked greed and power. Its distinctive tones cut through the sonic landscape with precision, serving as a powerful reminder of the consequences of such unchecked forces.

Layered synths, carefully crafted to complement Chaplin's speech, add depth and texture to the arrangement. They ebb and flow, mirroring the emotional journey depicted in the speech, from introspective contemplation to fervent resolve.
