This will probably be the first track off of my next journey project, the first I have completed in months. I wanted to touch the essence of exploration a lot more with this one and since this project takes place in a dream world, I am going to be experimenting with a lot of new sounds just for the hell of it. There will also be some new techs and movement options I have been exploring as well. In any case, hope you enjoy.

Chimerical Cataclysm(Draft)

About a year back I was asked to make an OST for an overhead spaceship styled game dealing mainly with combat against mythical and fantasy creatures. It was called Rainbow Invaders. I was asked to create an organic soundtrack that could be cued as well as looped. Long story short the project was canceled but I was paid before hand so the soundtrack had already been completed.  I don't want to sit on these tracks because I enjoyed making them so periodically I will be uploading them for your listening pleasure folks. I will also upload them to my bandcamp for free once they've all been put here.

The ice level starts off with you entering a giant iceberg. The creatures here are based off of the typical strange creatures but made entirely of ice of course. Anyway as you fight through the level you realize it gets a little stranger as enemies begin to converge on each other. Then ultimately you escape through the mouth of a creature you didn't even know you were in. The iceberg is in fact a fantasy creature in itself and you have just been fighting it's antibodies. Thus boss battle ensues and you can use your imagination after that.

The Berg (Ice Stage)

They were very specific with this level and the space level. Repetition was key for a certain melody as the song cues and they also wanted the listener to feel as though they were constantly falling as the stage played vertical instead of the usual horizontal like the others. I don't usually use rooms this big for orchestral music but they wanted more atmosphere so that's what I gave them. I think it came out pretty well. The boss for this stage was a unicorn.

That Thing Called Flight (Sky stage)

The melody of the bass was hand picked by a developer. Something catchy and simple that I was asked to build on. What better way to capture a space battle with intense/atmospheric dnb? I actually forgot what the boss was for this stage. It had something to do with Astrology though.

Pew Pew Boom Time (Space Stage)

I hadn't realized how differently I was mastering these tracks until going back to listen to this one. Anyway, the forest stage is burning at a rapid rate from your last battle. It's a speedy track as you're mostly dodging the environment while blasting enemies quite literally engulfed in flames. Oh hey, a Phoenix.  Hope you enjoy and please share.

The Regular World

The smog clears revealing an even more barren wasteland ahead. A sandstorm is on the horizon and inside of it are new creatures awaiting to destroy the players ship. Eventually it clears and you approach a small city but it turns out it's just a mirage. Out of no where a basilisk appears to be headed straight to you, except it's huge and it flies.

Tan Tempest (Desert Stage)

The area is thick with vegetation. The sun peaks from above through thick branches of leaves. Here you would have spent more time maneuvering in the bush than fighting creatures. The melody was thought out by a designer with her stressing the use of a flute. The stage was meant to be more ominous in nature with a dragon waiting for you at the end. Thus explaining the next stage being lit on fire for it's whole duration. Hope you enjoy and share if you do.

Lush Sun (Forest Stage)

Last but not least we have the city stage which is also the final area of the game. At the time I wanted to revisit all of the other stages and combine different elements from each to form this piece. All of the older creatures from different stages come back to rain hell on this futuristic metropolitan of a landscape and a sense of urgency that this may actually be the end is at hand. Out of the destruction a fallen angel appears, it's become apparent that she is your last obstacle to ending all of this.

My name is Marcus Morgan also know as "HeaT Flare," I am 21 years old and I have been a producer/composer for the last 8 years. I live in Maryland, United States. In all honesty, sound is a part of my life. It relaxes me, heightens my mood, and even solves some of my problems. It's the furthest from just a hobby or a job for me. It is my life. I have always wanted to get into Sound Design as most of my inspiration actually lies in Visual Media. Almost all of my tracks are inspired by certain situations or landscapes. I feel this is the correct career for me because I want the sounds I create to shape moods. My goal is to make people so entranced in a sound environment that a visual won't even be necessary. I created my work using FLStudio, Adobe Audition, Kontakt, and a bunch of other plugins. The birth of an idea runs through multiple cycles, as you will hear. From the "light bulb" that goes off in your head, to the constant change and progression as the idea continues to manifest. Finally resulting in a creative work you can call your own. Rainbow Invaders (Snippets)

Don't worry everyone I am not dead and still create quite frequently. I just don't post as often as I should but that's gonna change real soon.

So for a solid 2 months straight https://soundcloud.com/mrdiezel and I were doing a weekly friendly battle just to challenge ourselves. Different genre each week with a 2 hour time limit, set sound kits, and at least 1 minute of music. This was week 2 I believe?
