To be successful in the music industry, the talent must be innovative, gifted, and have a consistent and ever evolving work flow. Hip- Hop rap trio The HEAT has these qualifications in spades.

Birthed in 1998, three talented individuals, all born and raised in Jersey City, NJ, Crisis, Monroe, and Panic discovered they all shared similar backgrounds. Yet, through their distinct and different personalities, perceived and could express real life situations and topics in a cohesive yet individualized and unique flow. Crisis's conscience and amusing flow along with Monroe's style of street swag and distinguishment, mixed perfectly with Panic's raw no nonsense lyrical approach, were the perfect ingredients to create the elixir know as The Heat.

Creating an immediate buzz for their realness to their city and unique approach of relaying life's harsh realities enabled The Heat to work with top notch counterparts early off. Starting off with Grammy Award winning producer Easy Moe Beats, one of the lead producers on Notorious BIG's Classic "Ready to Die"(2007) album. Even with professional beats, The Heat struggled with breaking through on a major level. This struggle inspired them to take the route of independence starting their own label 81 Illatainment. 81 Illatainment spawned two celebrated albums, "Jersey Journal" and "H2". Their command of the streets caught the attention of Robert "Screw" Montanez, CEO of Block Royal Records, responsible for the careers of industry greats Akon and Joel Ortiz. In this time, The Heat opened up for several Hip-Hop artists such as, Lloyd Banks, Pitbull, Akon, D-Block, and Remy Martin. Unfortunately, with "Screw's" sudden passing and a change in management, The Heat decided to continue on independently.

While working on their third album "Fever" The Heat joined forces with local artist/film maker "Maine Gotti" and his company Conglomerot Enterprises. Through this merger they composed, pressed, and distributed over 15,000 units of the trio's exalted albums, "Fever", Thru the Fire" and "Deal or No Deal".

By 2006, The Heat having a solid fan base and viewed as leaders in their community, took a stand on the overwhelming violence going on around them and in the African American community in general. They took this stand of course with music, bringing together local artist to recreate KRS One's legendary stop the violence anthem "Self Destruction". (1989) Since it's release in 2007, The Heat's remake of Self Destruction has received rave reviews, over 100,000 and counting YouTube views, has been performed at numerous stop the violence rallies, and occupied over a year of rotation on Video Music Box.

Inspired by the success of Self Destruction, the boys decided to up the ante by contriving the "New Jersey Xperience", an album, documentary, and short film paying homage to legendary Hip-Hop artist from New Jersey and their experience's being from the Garden state. The making of the "NJX" package sparked a still present camaraderie and respect between The Heat and Grammy and American music award winning rap group Naughty by Nature.

Over the past fourteen years, Crisis, Monroe, and Panic have not only made great music; they have become an inspiration to their peers and fans by displaying unprecedented perseverance, dedication, selflessness and growth.
Their catalog of community service, acting roles and all around creativity is the proof. After years of training and seven albums under their belts, The Heat has perfected their craft and is at the top of their game. The trio is consistently cranking out industry style music and visuals, simultaneously helping to create and maintain a platform for Jersey City's underground and overlooked talent; 201 The Movement.

Currently, Crisis, Monroe, and Panic have their hands in everything from independent films to clothing lines. Coming off a successful release of 201 The Movement's street acclaimed Classic compilation album entitled "The Movement and Me" (2012) The Heat is right back at it, creating what is anticipating to be one of the hottest and most creative albums for the dynamic trio. For this album they will be combining their original style of Hip-Hop with a highly talented up and coming Pop singer/songwriter out of Jersey. (Album to be released Fall  2014.) Fourteen years of longevity proves that The Heat flames are infinite.
