Stupid Happy is Heather's new FACTOR-funded single (http://youtu.be/I3fdevbauyo). Stupid Happy is an upbeat, quirky alt-pop song about being unapologetically "over-the-moon" happy and not caring who knows it! The lead character is unafraid to reveal her true self to the world and feels liberation as a result. It’s a song about knowing one’s deepest desire and trusting it implicitly. 

The song was written by Heather Hill and Orville Heyn and produced by Orville Heyn. The players include: Heather Hill on Lead Vocals; David Restivo on Piano; Eddie Paton on Guitars;  Russ Boswell on Ac Bass; Paul DeLong on Drums; Tim Posgate on Banjo; Jill Harris and Orville Heyn on Background Vocals. Stupid Happy

Rosey is a throw-back 1950s jazz pop tune about love and delight. Cowritten with Matt Gerber, we imagined an incredible night of pink champagne and dancing. Everything is bubbly and full of love and life.

This heart opening song has me envisioning a fancy party in a beautiful dance hall. There are pink bubbles, pink drinks, pink dresses, pink roses and a jazz band. At this fancy party, the guests are floating around the dance-floor in bliss and delight. Love and pink champagne has transformed the guests and the entire evening.

Rosey's medicine is simple depending on your mood: either put on your dancing shoes and crank up volume, or fill a bathtub full of bubbles and pour yourself a glass of something pink and fizzy. Transform your mood with a vase of roses for some love and romance. Pour in the bubbles, some rose oil or ylang ylang, and dim the lights. Clear your throat and sing along.

Music and words by Heather Hill and Mark Zubek. Produced by Mark Zubek with Dave Restivo on piano, Mark Zubek on drums and guitars, Rachel Capon on cello, and Heather Hill on vocals. This track was released in January 2012.

This encouraging rock ballad is about overcoming obstacles and limitations in order to get on your personal path. The song style is a cross between "OneRepublic" and "The Fray". The vocal sounds like Sarah McLachlan, Lily Allen, Kate Bush.

"How Long", track 1 on Heather Hill's album "Leuty Station", was written by Heather Hill and Alec Steinwall, and was produced by Orville Heyn. The players include: Heather Hill on vocals, Russ Boswell on bass, Eddie Paton on guitars, Paul DeLong on drums and Arturo Avalos on percussion. 

"How Long" is often interpreted as a relationship gone bad song (sometimes an alien possession song). The main character can't stand the thought of how possessed they are by their partner. They just want to get their lover's memory out of their life because its slowly killing them.

The song's inspiration came from facing a possible diagnosis of breast cancer. Her view of the world changes when she hears her doctor speak those unwanted words. A recursive piano pattern came to her in the night, both haunting and possessing. All beauty was drained from life and replaced with fear. 

The song has elements of alternative rock mixed with the Wilson Sisters (Heart) and a hint of late Beatles in the bridge.

How Long

"Strawberry Girl" on Heather Hill's newly released album "Leuty Station", was written by Heather Hill and Orville Heyn, and was produced by Orville Heyn. The players include: Heather Hill on vocals/piano, Russ Boswell on bass, Eddie Paton on guitars, and Paul DeLong on drums.

This song is about lasting love (over 50 years) and the reason they met was all about strawberries. The man in the song couldn't help but notice this bathing beauty wearing a strawberry bathing cap and the matching beach bag (think Esther Williams’ Hollywood movies). Their secret is revealed at the end of the song. 

This song is a ballad with elements of Elton John’s guitar driven work from the early 70’s.
