Berlin-based producer Cody Currie opens the dance for AOC Records first compilation 'L'Apéro Vol.1' with a new alias 'CC DANCE ORCHESTRA' and a broken beat house track with hints of pop brought by the vocals sung by the artist.

London born Cody Currie has been making waves in the house scene and beyond for some years now, for his unique, recognisable, souful and catchy sound, on hits such as "Move" on Toy Tonics and his rework of MF Doom's "Devil's Shoestring", whilst moving towards a more live approach then sampling.

Founded in 2017, AOC Records is influenced by the house, jazz and French Touch scene. Very much focused on live music, it brings together today artists like Bomel or Georges.

The 14th release from Heat Rock Records, and the final 45rpm in this series of 7, drops Black Friday 2022! Featuring a duo of Bad Boy flips from  Cutso (Bay Area, USA) who puts a housey touch on a classic Big Momma cut, while BoomBaptist (Texas, USA) lives up to his name and blesses a Queen B track with a heavy dose of drums and synth flavors. There’s a big BPM difference between the sides which makes this one a must-have DJ tool. Doubles are recommended!

For our 15th release, and the 1st 45rpm in our next series of 7inches, Altered Tapes created a version of “Power” focused on Chill Rob that will hopefully make you forget about Snap completely. Featuring bell-less drum break that we all know and love and the energy turned up a few notches for a Moombahton/ Jazz Dance / B-Boy killer. Includes a hookless, but horny instrumental on the flip side for your cutting pleasure. It's getting kinda hectic! Doubles are recommended.

The 3rd release from Heat Rock ups the tempo with duo of dancefloor-friendly Native Tongue Family remixes. Pickster & Melo (Blunt Club, AZ) team up for a moombahton influenced take on the classic “A Roller Skating Jam Named Saturdays.” And Altered Tapes (Chicago, IL) chime with a saxophone-heavy, breakbeat/house remix on a sleeper cut from the timeless Low End Theory album.

This 45rpm features an uptempo, jazz-flavored, breakbeat-centric remix of one of the Golden Era’s most unsung Hip-Hop crews. Produced by our newest roster member, Flipout (Canada), owner of FlipNJay Records as well as a renowned Turntablist, Radio Station DJ, Producer.

The artwork for this series was designed by talented Mike2600 of BRLSQ, and inspired by vintage 7inch factory sleeve designs. The limited edition 45s include custom cover art and colored vinyl. (A black wax version with a different label color scheme will be available later in March).
