My intention for this EP was to reconnect with my North African heritage, embracing the spirit of boundless prosperity and harmony. Alkebulan is the original name of Africa meaning “Mother of mankind”.
In the process I found myself embodying the spirit of the legendary King Mansa Moussa of Mali, a ruler whose affluence knew no bounds, making him one of the wealthiest monarchs in the history of our planet. He showed unparalleled acts of generosity when he gave away so much gold to the people in need on his Hadj pilgrimage that it sent a shockwave through Egypt's economy. 
Join me as we explore the rich tapestry of Alkebulan's history, and let the melodies transport you to a time when prosperity and harmony were the order of the day.
