Rounding off a busy summer of gigging and remixing, the prodigal son DiscoSocks returns home with this two-tracker 'I'll Be Getting Down/Goldman Sax'. 

DiscoSocks' sound continues to evolve from a more rigid house tempo to a selection incorporating all manner of stompin' funk tempos, and 'I'll Be Getting Down' demonstrates this perfectly. A super-huge slap bass groove underpinning a typically infectious 'Socks hook.

Goldman Sax is more of a return to form classic house number, with a stomping kick drum and tweaked out sax line that would plant ear worms into any pilled up clubber.  

2013 has seen Teeside's Graeme Cohen destroy dance floors over all over the UK and Europe, with a string of releases including a collab with the Geisha Twins on DJ Dan's InStereo and forthcoming remix duties for RESET!, on top of some top notch edits released back in the Spring.

Here at Heavy Disco, we like to give back to the community, but instead of donating 10% of our royalties to charity or helping out at a local fete, we're just giving this away for free for a limited period, so get in there while you can!

DiscoSocks - I'll Be Getting Down

San Francisco's Future Funk and Disco Intelligence stalwart Matthew Cieplak, better known as Data/Debt is a Heavy Disco regular, having released 'Bombay Star' on Heavy Disco Vol. 2 earlier in 2013 and remixed label boss Ali Jamieson.

'Dead Pixel' is his first EP proper, so we're honoured to have released his debut.

With bass guitar duties from Allen Walker and remix from fellow Californian Dilemmacine. 'Dead Pixel' is something special indeed.

Montreal's Fonkynson wraps up a busy year for Heavy Disco with this power-house french touch EP complete with a remix from the Netherlands' hardest working remixer and man of mystery G-Thor.

The EP kicks off with 'Right Thing', a gentle head nod to the likes of Chromeo with more driving house  production. It's followed by 'In My Heart' which is a classic turbo charged disco edit sound. 'The Queen' is a groove based slow burner. The EP is wrapped up with G-Thor ripping to shreds 'Right Thing' and re-building it in only the way he can.

The team behind Heavy Disco Records  / MofoHifi Records get out their analog oddities for a DJ friendly cover version of "Kids", their favourite track from Kyle Dixon and Michael Stein's spectacular 80s-inspired soundtrack to the smash hit Netflix series "Stranger Things".

With contributions from label boss and music journalist https://soundcloud.com/alijamieson, OWSLA prodigy https://soundcloud.com/phonat and multi-grammy nominated producer Hal Ritson (of https://soundcloud.com/theyoungpunx) this tasty club mix captures the vibe of the surprise music phenomenon of the year and repurposes it for the dance floor.

Heavy Disco Soundsystem - Kids (Stranger Things Club Mix)

Ali Jamieson returns to Heavy Disco with London based soul singer Raff for this 2017 flip on the quiet storm classic The Sweetest Taboo originally recorded by Sade in 1985.

The EP is complete with an instrumental and pastiche Varorwave edit, because everything sound great slowed down. Ali is one third of Heavy Disco Records and have enlisted the assistance of some fantastic musicians for this cover, including label partner Hal Ritson, former bandmates David O’Neill and Oliver Jarvis, Brazil’s own Jadhiel Asaph and singer Raff, with whom he has collaborated many times.

RESET! - Escape

Fire Flowerz return to Heavy Disco Records with fellow Italian TurboFunker Birdee. The Nocturne EP sees the pair oblitterating dance floors with these disco re-edits, flipped, skewed, chopped and re-invented for 2012.

The A-side 'In The Night' is an adrenaline filled twisted funk flip that's too damn catchy to ignore. Already a staple of sets by Reset! Phonat and The Young Punx it's one of those simple tracks that always feels like a highlight of the night when it drops. 'When The Evening Comes' is a soulful, more laid back nu-disco number, but a disco weapon none-the-less.

Italian duo Fire Flowerz, with their second release on the MofoHifi / Heavy Disco brand, have drummed up DJ support from Herve, Reset, Louis La Roche, Russ Chimes, Plump DJs and more.

Birdee, who won best breakthrough dj in 2008 and has toured the world from Australia to the USA to China  takes a break from regular releasing on Southern Fried to make a welcome appearance on Heavy Disco. He's been well received by the likes of Laidback Luke, Malente, Oliver Twizt, Beataucue, Tom Staar and RESET!
