The word Maranata and/or Maranatha is a transliteration of an Aramaic phrase, maran~at~(h)~a, | As mentioned in the New Testament. The apostle Paul used the term at the end of his First Epistle to the Corinthians (1 Corinthians 16 verse 22) as a farewell. The most likely meaning of Maranata is "Our Lord, Come!" But also "Our Lord has come" and "Our Lord will come" are among the possible meanings.
