Next up on the gold standard tech house imprint that is Roush, comes label boss himself, Hector Couto. On the Parental Advisory EP, the influential Spaniard has readied four cuts of to-the-point club music that cannot fail to make its mark.
Hector is one of the most respected artists around with a truly global allure for his brand of house music. He has released on labels such as Defected, Moon Harbour, Hot Creations and Get Physical and is no stranger to the finest DJ booths in the world, from Ministry of Sound to Amnesia Ibiza. As such any new music from him warrants deserved excitement.
Proving that once more is excellent opener ‘Like This,’ a wobbly tech house tune that is full of electronic funk. It has great vocals, swollen bass and siren like synths that really get under your skin and demand you dance. Title track ‘Parental Advisory’ is a real party starter with wild vocals and jittery drums. Off kilter synth stabs and fat bass all make it a hugely fun and characterful tune that is sure to stand out in any set.
Moving on to the essential ‘Old Roots’, this one comes laden with retro breakbeats and a dusty sense of groove. Air horns and crisp hi hats all get stitched into the loopy groove and pull you deeper and deeper in with each rotation. Lastly, ‘Bubble Gum’ comes with a snaking bassline that is tough and rugged. Classic 909 pops and clicks pepper the groove, as do plenty of sweet vocal samples and the result is one hell of a tech tune that sounds like little else.
This is another masterclass in effective, emotive dance music and it marks another fine release for both label and artist.

The mighty elrow Music marks it's 150th release with a pumping re-release of overlooked 90s record This Is Serious​, featuring original vocalist Morrison. Award winning Spanish producer and
DJ Dennis Cruz provides the perfect peak-time remix to complete the package.

Since its inception seven years ago, elrow Music has charted music from some of the industry's finest producers including Ralph Lawson, Camelphat, Pirupa, Max Chapman and Toni Varga to name a few. To
mark this monumental occasion, the label were on the hunt for something special. De la Swing explains 'we fell in love the first time we listened to 'This Is Serious' and wanted to give a second life to the track'. After hearing the original 90s cut, he got in touch with Harris to propose the re-release. The Elrow boss reveals 'Simon was excited about the idea but he didn't have the original DAT tapes of the track. He
contacted Morrison, the singer, to record the vocals again and replay the main parts of the track and here we are'.

Staying true to the sound of the original record, This Is Serious, ​delivers an infectious groove. Its 90s beat together with Morrison's soulful yet powerful vocals create a sure-fire anthem. Making his debut on the
label, Dennis Cruz's take on the track is nothing short of club worthy. He brings extra heat to the proceedings with a deep, low-slung bassline.

Prolific producer, remixer and label owner Simon Harris has more than three decades in the business under his belt, having worked alongside greats such as Prince, James Brown and Roy Ayers. Spanish
production wizard Dennis Cruz has released music on seminal imprints including Snatch! and Solid Grooves, garnering support from key players such as Jamie Jones, Roger Sanchez and Marco Carola.
