Next up this summer on Nic Fanciulli's Saved Records is a release that we have been super excited to share with you even since we were first sent it back in 2019 and we're delighted to now be able to release the 'Nonsifa' EP from label favourite Ruben Mandolini who teams up with Riky Ild and Uness to bring you his latest outing. 

A record that has been in high demand ever since label boss Nic Fanciulli championed it at his Dance Or Die parties back in Ibiza 2019, 'Nonsifa' has already been heavily supported by the likes of Carl Cox, Fisher, Piero Pirupa, Marco Faraone and many more; truly indicative of Ruben and Riky's signature sound, oozing hypnotic vocals, an irresistible bassline, heavyweight Tech House drums, bubbling percussion and a grooving low-end. 

Ruben closes out the EP with another collab track, this time featuring the vocals of Uness, 'Take No More' maintains the high levels of energy with mesmerising vocals, stomping, raw drums and a commanding bassline running throughout

Ben Sterling joins Damian Lazarus’ renowned Crosstown Rebels imprint, partnering with Caitlyn  Scarlett for ‘Don’t Truss’.  

Building on the release of arguably one of the tracks of 2022 with his remix of Tiga’s iconic ‘Mind Dimension 2’, UK  hotshot and Planet X boss Ben Sterling has made 2023 another year of raising the levels, with his debut on  Solomon’s Diynamic becoming an instant summer anthem in the midst of his busiest summer to date. Adding yet  another huge label debut to the mix, he continues to showcase his range across house music as Damian Lazarus  invites him to Crosstown Rebels for the first time, partnering with singer/songwriter Caitlyn Scarlett for ‘Don’t  Truss’ on the revered imprint. 

“I really appreciate the opportunity to work with Caitlyn Scarlett on this one and her letting me use her  vocals. Working with an artist with such a unique voice gives me the style I was looking for to compensate  for this track. I also felt like bringing more of a UK sound to my production, which has made me really  happy with this release.” - Ben Sterling. 

A rolling and crisp production with Scarlett’s alluring and hooky vocals at its core, it’s easy to see why ‘Don’t Truss’  has become a stand-out track from Sterling’s own sets across the globe over the past 12 months. Fusing tightly  programmed percussion, warped murmurs, and a slinking, snaking groove, it’s a track crafted for the dancefloor,  moving crowds unison and leaving a lasting impact. On the flip, ‘Bring Me To The Surface’ is a groove-led and  bubbling cut that keeps the energy levels with skittering drums, acid-dipped basslines, resonant synths and yet  more vibrant vocals.

Newcomer DJ and producer, Tom Nolan, makes his debut on the infamous Kaluki Musik imprint this August, with brand-new single, ‘Yellow Bricks’.

Fresh out the traps from his first release in early 2021, Tom has been causing a stir on the underground circuit with records signed to Viva La Vita, Youth Culture, Lost Audio and SK Recordings alongside gigs at some of the biggest parties on the scene, sharing the booth with artists including AJ Christou, Jesse Calosso, Joey Daniel, Late Replies, Hector Couto, Iglesias and more.

His latest outing, ‘Yellow Bricks’ has been championed by label boss, Pirate Copy in his recent sets as well as receiving early support from Marco Carola, Jamie Jones, Franky Rizardo, Latmun, Ben Sterling and Fleur Shore! The dancefloor focused roller blends rumbling bass and robust snares with chopped vocals and hypnotic grooves, all held together with crisp percussion. Already bringing the vibe in the clubs this year, expect to hear this one everywhere on the White Isle this summer season.

Paco Osuna is back on his record label, Mindshake, with a percussive tech house EP that also features a remix by Wheats.

One of Spain's most iconic electronic music artists, Paco Osuna's career spans over two decades, and during this time he has played at many of the world's most prestigious underground events ranging from Ibiza super clubs to festival mainstages.

Not only has Paco Osuna played headline DJ shows in all four corners of the globe, he is also an esteemed producer who has released tracks and remixes on influential record labels such as Moon Harbour, Drumcode, Bedrock, M_nus and Defected.

On remix duty, Wheats is a UK artist who makes a return to Mindshake after dropping an EP via the record label in 2023. He has also featured his stripped back and hypnotic style of house music on other respected imprints such as Hottrax, Sola, Solid Grooves, Saved and Circus.

"Beat Heat" is the first of the two original tracks on the release, and it gets things moving with flowing percussion and a funky bassline that lays a foundation for trumpets and warped vocals. "New For Me" is a percussive track with tribal touches and rhythmic vocal textures. Wheats' closes the release with a remix of "New For Me" that strips away some of the drums to make space for deep synths that add trippy atmosphere.

This track sits firmly within the Indie Dance spectrum, built around a detailed interaction of toms and a solid snare that drives the main groove. Sharp high-end elements and a strong brass layer add intensity and depth to the soundscape, while the vocal line introduces a melodic touch that connects directly with the dancefloor. The bassline, highly dynamic and prominent, acts as the central axis of the track, creating a constant flow of energy. The arrangement develops into a carefully designed break section of high tension, leading into a main drop where the bass regains full presence and defines the identity of the production. A piece designed with the club context in mind, it focuses on rhythmic dynamics and sound design, maintaining a coherent progression that emphasizes functionality in a DJ set without losing character.

When a record label brings together artists like Ripperton, Tigerskin, Rone, SIS, Sascha Dive, Siopis, Dennis Cruz, Inxec, Switchdance and Los Suruba to name just a few, a 10th anniversary seems to be the natural flow of things. Suruba X started its journey in 2009 when the minds of Alvaro and Delmar joined forces to create an electronic, deep and dark imprint to express their most sophisticated musical curiosities.

Once more art and music are blended in a 26-track compilation that highlights the gems of the label from the last ten years. This album is meant to show you a sample of the scope of Suruba X and all the potential that it has gained over the past decade. 

The dark side of anything is appealable to anyone and this is Los Suruba´s dark, and demanding side where the duo play with styles that oscillate between down tempos, melodic techno vibes, and intense vocals with deep meanings, electric synths and penetrating bass.

The artwork comes from Delmar´s passion for street art.  He picked for the covers a particular artwork, the Brazilian Pixaçao. This is a controversial style of graffiti that mainly transgresses the visual image of most of the public spaces of cities throughout Brazil. Its aesthetics infringes hegemonic aesthetics, which is why it´s criminalized. They found this particular style to align with their sweet escape thorough shameless vocals and naughty beats. 

A must have in any music lover´s collection that assures a trip, a dream and a dance.
