In the late '80's I had the honor of playing one of the hottest clubs in The Bronx called La Mirage (Fordham Rd).  It was a venue that hosted some of the best Latin Electronic 'Freestyle' acts such as Judy Torres, George Lamond, The Cover Girls, TKA & Coro to name a few. 
The impact of the Freestyle movement still lives on as It was a sound that represented the NY underground. Fast forward 30 plus years and the sound has gone on to accomplish commercial success & touch the hearts of many fans.  
On Sat Jan 20th DJ Lucho took the initiative to reunite the fans of the past and influence a new generation of Freestyle heads.  The 3rd edition of the La Mirage reunion was one of the best to date.  It was emotional to see people singing and dancing to their favorite songs.  A special night indeed.  I’d like to share my live set from the party that also includes live performances from Lisette Melendez, Fascination and Emery.  Enjoy.  Always and forever DJ Baby Hec

It's not often I get to open the night and get things warmed up on the dance floor.  This past Saturday I had the opportunity to do so and it was a blast seeing people walk in and pick their spot on the floor.  By 2 am Room 26 in Rome was packed & ready for Morales to take them to 2nd gear & that he did right until 5am when the lights came on.  A memorable night and a great way to start the year.
