Quipu (key'-poo)
In astronomy, Quipu refers to the largest known superstructure of galaxies in the universe, discovered in early 2025. It's a massive, ribbon-like structure composed of clusters of galaxies and clusters of clusters, stretching over 1.3 billion light-years. The name "Quipu" is inspired by the ancient Incan knotted-cord recording device, as the structure's appearance resembles a long cord with smaller strands branching off.

My daughter is now eleven but when she was 4 or 5 years old, I was trying to learn Spanish (but then life got in the way) and as we brushed our teeth every night, I would sing a silly song “Abre la boca, lava tus dientes blancos blancos muy limpios”.  I’m sure it’s a terrible translation but recently the song popped into my head and this weekend, and I thought it might be fun to attempt to turn it into a complete song.
