Dear Friends, I'm totally psyched to be sharing this mix with you.  In the last year I've been (almost) all over the world performing, introducing people to this sound. The response has been overwhelming, and it seems like every new gig I travel to now has an even more electric atmosphere than the last. I've always been highly selective of the music I play, in an effort to define something new and distinct, and I feel now that this style is getting the recognition it deserves. 

So it's not often I do a mix, and this time I really wanted to showcase the state of the art of psychedelic tech-funk. Emanating from the depths of the psychedelic journey and inspired by the unique surroundings of New Zealand, sub.conscious’ music is the result of experimentation in rhythm, sound design and bass. A sound engineer by trade and an audiophile by passion, he has been creating music for 5 years, focused on deeply psychedelic atmospheres filled with glitchy detail and organic elements.
As a part of international bass collective Shanti Planti, he has released two E.Ps in recent years & a third with Triple Drop Productions.
Having played festivals such as Yemaya, Regrowth, Twisted Frequency, Luminate, Manifest and Lost Theory, he has the stage with Whitebear, Grouch, Digital Rust and Kalya Scintilla to name a few. A diverse and versatile performer, his sets are tailored from a broad range of tempo and genre to fit the space provided. Always changing form while remaining grounded in origin, it is music which seeks to transmute inspiration into evolution and chaos into form. Acknowledging the powerful balance between repetition and change while maintaining a sense of humour, the journey goes on…

My love for these musics and psychedelic music, bass music and sound creation led me to make this track which takes up some of the monumental themes of video games.
