Behind Third Eye of Monkey is Daniel Neria, based in Mexico city.
Daniel started his musical journey in early 2000 when he fell in love with Goa trance music. With passion and dedication he started to experimenting and producing music in summer 2009.
Later in 2013, Daniel had 4 weird dreams with mythological, alien and otherworldly places and creatures, but in the last one, he dream with the words "Third Eye of Monkey" bringing to live this project, now well known around the globe. Project that had a great response and many releases came after that, releasing many V.A. compilations & EP's in major and young labels from around the globe.
Third Eye of Monkey's music is full of surprises and it's always evolving into a uncharted territory, like strong roots looking to spread.
Inspired strongly by his indigenous roots creating each sound meticulously. Starting with deep and dynamic bass lines, surrounding soundscapes, ancient Aztec & Mayan Instruments and otherworldly sound fxs always creating a unique tale on each track giving life to the final work that will make the audience dance in trance like our ancestors did.

My name is Matthias and I was born in Bavaria in the 70s. In my early years as a youngling I had to learn a lot of uncool instruments and because i never found fun in play scales for hours I didn‘t really practice and instead had more time for other interests. Since I can‘t sing and can‘t play any cool instruments Ilways loved to listen to music and when the first Front 242 CD finally found its way into my CD player, I was hooked on electronic music. I started to buy synthesizers from my first hard earned money and started a long jouney into experimental music, noise and industrial sounds. I released music on vinyl, cassette and traveled the world playing noise shows and enjoying life to the full.
Over the years my musical interests shifted towards dark ambient and idm for some deep space exploration trips to the outer rims of the solar system. During a short visit back to good old earth I went on a walk through the winter woods with some decent black metal in my ears and uncle Albert by my side and for a moment the Spirit of the Forest appeared and gave me a mission to spread love and happines among human beings.
On that day my journey into the world of psychedelic music started and from that day on, I am trying hard to develop some lovely melodies but it never works out. Instead, I end up with some darker tunes,…. a truly desperate situation, I assure you….. but I am on a mission and I won‘t stop spreading lovely darkness to the masses!!

The idea behind it is firstly the support of muscians from the underground who should get much more attention then they get atm and the second reason for making this Podcast Series is that I am a really big music nerd (mostly electronic music) and with this podcast it is very easy to life that out (I know as a DJ this is also easy, but for me Djing is more kind of a hobby which I do a bit in my freetime).
