Kim Vereijken is a young talented Dutch female techno DJ known as SHE/HER. During the pandemic she improved her technical skills and she got well known in the underground techno scene. Since the party scene re-opened after the lockdown she had several performances at various clubs like RADION, Club Atelier and Warehouse. SHE/HER is also a resident of ARTDICTIVE, a collective of female DJ’s aiming to create a safe and diverse space. With the ambition to equalize the gap between male and female artists within the techno music industry. We are very proud and honored to have SHE/HER on our podcast series. 
 
“This podcast represents my development and my ongoing search for the type of music I want to play as a DJ. It’s like searching for the perfect balance between genres. But most importantly I want to share a virtual dancefloor feeling with the listeners.
 
I find it hard to describe my own sound. The last few months I’ve been developing my sound. Actually, I’m still doing that. It has been quite the adventure. As it stands, I’d say my sound is best described as groovy but powerful.”

Currently I’m really into Beau Didier’s tracks. They have an undeniable groove and most of the time an amazing vocal that sweeps you right off your feet. For example this track called ‘Cut 3’.

Not only this song breaks, but also the bird noise samples in this song make me want to lay in the grass shoeless. Precisely the kind of vibe I’m looking for at the end of my set.

I think music makes people happy, and it does not matter in what way that happiness arises. With my closing I wanted to emphasize that feeling of joy in a way of saying thanks for the nice and pleasant vibes because: I laf you.

We proudly present our sixth podcast created by Aletta. Aletta is a DJ team formed by friends Niek van Reijn, Gydo van der Vooren and Arjun Samadhan.
Formerly know as P.A.X. DJ. Their new name refers to the place (Aletta Jacobsplantsoen) where their friendship is forged, future plans were made and where it all began. With their funky melodic and groovy techno sets they will make you want to dance on the spot. As residents of PAX-ROMANA they have established themselves in the Amsterdam and Dutch underground techno scene. And they are just getting started.

“We get inspired by many artists from so many genres. We are always trying to explore and merge a wide variety of sounds in our sets. We also want to create the feeling of playfulness, full of twist and turns and pleasant surprises.”

Simply a huge S/O 2 Jon Hester, incredible productions! The track has a kind of trippy feeling to it, just how we like it. 

Track 2: 21:00 Amotik – Adasth 
After some breakbeats we continue with a powerful 4x4 kick. Enough to feel new energy coming into the set. Also not too overwhelming, so there is room for the perception and imagination of the listener. 

Track 3: 46:00 Rask – Feels Like Forever
The vocal of the track brings up a certain melancholic feeling, which we love.

HEDON sonance 006 // Aletta

We are more than happy to announce our 7th artist for this year: Spikey Lee. He is an Amsterdam based Dutch queer artist making a name in the underground queer techno scene. He holds strong ethical values and standards to make the scene a better and safer place for people to feel free and express themselves. Although being excluded himself for years he is aware of his privileges and uses his position to make the scene more diverse and inclusive. He makes people dance on sweaty dance floors with fun, groovy and unexpected tracks. 

“What I do is mainly jumping between different sounds and moods, so you don't know what's coming next. Somehow, I try to be surprising. Expect hard house, techno and groove mixed into an energetic set.”

I chose to mix this track because I want to give a new layer of energy to the previous track. This is created by the hard kick in combination with a recognizable melody.

Track 2: Trashman - The Last Fight at 00:34:01
I chose this track because previous tracks are quite hard and heavy. This track is also hard but has a rave sound which makes the atmosphere a bit lighter in the set.

Track 3: DJ Disrespect - Acid NRG at 00:41:35
The previous track falls under the fun and light category for me. To change the mood of the set, I chose this track because the intro is quite long with hard, rousing kicks. This allows your hearing to calmly prepare for a somewhat louder sound.
