'To Ricciardi and Dope (PT) have an illustrious shared history. From the sun kissed Portuguese shores, the duo has found their music allied to a host of impressive imprints. To Ricciardi has been involved in the music industry since the early 1990s, subsequently graduating with a degree in audio engineering before featuring on a host of high-profile releases alongside the likes of Beckers, Frankey and Sandrino and Richard Dorfmeister. Joining forces with his compatriot, Dope (PT), the pair have made a splash on the Sururu Records, Flow Vinyl and Ohxala Records. Making their Particles debut, "Fusco" provides a sublime music box opening before emotive melodies sweep forwards. A sustained bassline and deep kick provide a rhythmic anchor as ticking percussive hats supply energy aplenty. A mid-point pause for breath creates a moment of reflection as the third movement explodes into life with a cascading arpeggio that drives the track forwards to its conclusion. "Lusco" provides a slower paced progressive offering that revels in luscious pads and delicate melodic counterpoint. Glistening in spring sunlight, the track evolves elegantly with intricate melodies, as a bassline groove and rolling percussion add weight.

A new artist pairing sees Dustin Nantais and Zoi take centre stage. Nantais has been a mainstay in the underground dance scene for almost a decade. A seasoned professional with a host of high-profile DJ performances to his name, the Toronto resident has overseen a successful production career with regular releases on Manual Music, Variety Music and Where The Heart Is. 2014's "Ideologue" was a notable Particles highlight as were remixes for Michael A and Rauschhaus. Similarly, Karachi born, Zoi, has had an explosive production career from his adopted Toronto home with releases on such esteemed imprints as Traum, Kindisch and Dream Culture. Now, making their collaborative Particles debut, the Dustin Nantais and Zoi remix of "Fusco" is a gloriously pulsating affair that captures the flowing melodic phrasing of the original while adding a swathe of new production material that blossoms in the second movement with a grooved bassline and heavy kick. Adding pitched vocal textures, the stunning melodic phrasing of To Ricciardi and Dope's work comes to the fore in a scintillating reinterpretation.'

"Michael Beiruty has no rules or ways in the way he produces. He always starts with something different either with a Kick or a Vocal or a Synth and works his way through it.

With Galactique Ritual he started with the main Melody that he wrote and usually in his tracks he likes to tell a story, in that story there are 2 melodies competing at the beginning to find out later on that they are not so much different after all. The idea of ¨Galactique Ritual¨ is that it talks about how the stars, planets, moons and star dust are all connected and have rituals and dances that they do around the galaxy and the universe.

On the other hand, Miscellany is totally different. He usually doesn't like to use the same sound twice or the same idea every time, he always starts fresh. Miscellany means a mixture of things, if you listen to Miscellany from start to finish you'd understand how complex it is but in a very clear way."
