Wendy Koorts aka HegChick hails from the Garden Route in South Africa. She started mixing in the early 2000’s, ranging from down tempo underground sounds to full power night time psy trance.  With the aim of sharing and growing the psychedelic music scene, HegChick has used the djing platform to educate dance floors to the more intelligent and underground sound that Psy Trance has to offer and spreading her sound at events such as Tundra Festival in Lithuania, Vortex, Echo Gatherings, Universal Frequencies, Wacky Woods, Freaky Forest, Tribe, FuCha Gatherings, Twilight, Revolution, Crater Gatherings, Zodiac, Paradigm, Earthdance, State Alchemy and many more.
For many years she managed Red Eye Productions, events and festivals, which successfully entertained and grew the psychedelic culture in Gauteng with artists such as Zen Mechanics, KoxBox, Waio, Electrypnose, Rosa Ventura and DJ Fog.  
HegChick has recently been signed to Pixan Recordings from Rome, Italy.  Her sound is edgy and she prides herself in mixing and vibing with the dance floor while sharing her passion for electronic music through high energy, full power, driving sets. 
She is also one half of the act BENDY which is signed to Soundblasting Records in New Caledonia, BENDY is a duo dj act with Killer B from Looney Moon Records.
