The 5th installment of the Reptilian Mixes marks a change in the series, as for the first time in the Blockbuster franchise, the main protagonist is not a Reptilian, but a Doggo. Not just your usual good boï, but simply the best. 

Rafon (@rafon27) and the crew go way back. The mattress king quickly became a roommate, a best mate, a partner in parties, and co-host of Mulack Space Mixes. During these years we witnessed @ordinateuf co-founder translate his passion for music into pure dedication. First into digging, then into mixing, and through all that, into good old partying. Along the way, this work paid off, and this mix is the expression of it. 

It’s groovy, moody, and gets you slowly but surely into that kinky house frenzy you just wish huge speakers would blast in the morning hours of a dirty club. The mix is as aced as the Rafon aces his pasta: with tension, love, and style. He got the secret recipe, and oh boy it’s a good one: the mix « à la Rafon ». You’re going to ask for a refill, with extra tunes. And Parmigiano.

Amy Lauren & Vanilla Ace raise the mood. „Bang The Drum“ is no less than a trance-inducing dance-infusion. Deep Tech House kickstarted by a banging beat, that would make any low-rider bounce straight to the moon. Marry this sentiment with a little melodic touch and the occasional breakbeat. Et voilà - bangs.

Time for round two: „Who Got The Funky Sound“ doesn’t even care about the dance floor anymore. It straight up turns the fire department into ashes. A first class vocal line meets an earthquake of a beat. If you don’t feel the sudden urge to move to the groove - you just ain’t human.

Modula Records revisit a staple in their catalogue as Rossi. reinterprets his first ever release as an artist and returns to remix ‘RKinN’.
A hidden gem within the UK house and minimal landscape, yet an imprint home to favourite cuts for many of the scene’s biggest names, Modula Records has been steadily building its reputation as a home for quality material from some of the scene’s brightest rising names over recent years. A stand out of those, Ross McCormack, better known by his alias Rossi., has risen to become a name at the forefront of London’s new names with recent appearances via the likes of FUSE, Eastenderz, LOCUS, and Tamango Records. Having released his first ever track ‘RKinN’ on the label back in 2018 as part of the MR001 V/A, he now returns to offer up a 2021 facelift alongside the original in its untouched, complete form.
The original showcases exactly why the Londoner quickly emerged in 2018, offering up a zipping production with tough drums and funky leads, whilst the 2021 take showcases his evolution within the studio via a combination of rubbery bass licks, slick synths and driving grooves to welcome a sure-fire party starter.

Straight from Tunisia, Farès A. has been a driving force in the underground, shaping the scene with his sets at Woodstock and as a co-founder of BSMNT Club.

At Soundscapes Zanzi, he took over the Oasis Stage on the first night of the festival, stepping in after Silverlining and setting the tone for Mozeez. Blending influences from Detroit techno, UK tech house, and German minimal, his debut set took the crowed on a journey.

The LCDO podcast series continues with Zakir & his set that left a lasting impression in 2024, under the beloved « Chant des oiseaux » tent, the Nidoaso.
A Western-inspired, highly cinematic set, on which he worked passionately for over two years.
“At first, I started collecting Western tracks kind of by accident, and then gradually I ended up with several, without even looking for them. So I thought there was something to build from these sounds.”
Over those two years, he kept digging for Western gems, without pressure, but with a clear determination to make sense of it all: recording a set, starting over, listening back, dozens of times. Digging again.

This set is ultimately an adventure : an artist’s desire to tell us a story, and a true will to offer a listening experience that explores a singular, unexpected aesthetic.
