Vamos a Platicar (Lets Talk) A collaboration between myself and Mike Brosco. Mike plays guitar, piano, keys, he arranged and mixed this track. Also Steve Burton plays the sweetest Lap Steel.
 I often listen to, and enjoy his music on the Brosco soundcloud page, many of his tracks, and his collaborations blew me away with their mystery and depth, sometimes wierd, sometimes melodic sweet + soulful. And always visual, thought provocing and unique.
This led to our messaging through s-cloud., and resulted in this collaboration, which I love more + more.
A big thanks to Mike and to Steve Burton.

OUT OF THE BOX / ORIELIEL WATCHER - We’re Off To See The Wizard / Yellow Brick Road

Aporia is an ongoing Internet collab project based around the piano/bass duo 'KIrby/Ward'. Occasionally we capture something at rehearsal that we send to dummer Dane Renshaw (Japan) and guitarist Bruce Musser (U.S.A) to add their respective talents too. Its usually pretty spacious and dreamy : ) This time however the piece we sent out was really busy and instead of trying to pare it back we thought fuck it lets go full hog and make it super busy. So we asked Guitarist Axel Weiß (Germany)and Saxophonist Phil Bywater (Australia) to join the party. So The sextet was born. Of note is that none of the players heard any other parts of the work other than the original Piano/Bass recording, and in the  case of the Saxophones poor Phil didn't hear anything at all! I just used some work he had sent me. So all those nuanced interactions are complete sonic chance. as always Aporia may or may not record more music

Aporia #3 (Sextet)

Over 30 years ago, during my visit to the Potala Palace (a dzong fortress in Lhasa, the capital of the Tibet Autonomous Region in China, and the winter palace of the Dalai Lamas from 1649 to 1959), a monk led me into a small room. This room housed a hundred small Buddha statues on a shelf. The monk whispered that one of them was alive, and I was overwhelmed by the sensation that it was indeed true.
