we've been in a little hibernation and are really looking forward to presenting you another great mixtape set from 'Magdeburch' for the new year.

marcoffski's love of music began in the mid-90s with the hip hop of the time from Germany and, as a logical consequence, the international hip hop scene in France and the US. many of these songs are still an important part of marcoffski's music today. 

the transition to other genres was already fluid back then. due to his environment (friends had a rehearsal room and played punk) the contact and interest in new music was always present. 

Beastie Boys and Rage Against The Machine were later just as often on the tape deck as hip hop. chilling out with friends to good old roots reggae was and still is a never-ending musical constant. 

with the first change of scenery (moving to Dessau to study) other musical genres found their way into marcoffski's understanding of music. soul, funk and jazz were then on his daily playlist as well.

with the decision to move to the state capital Magdeburg, he met many new friends. the new circle of friends consisted of many record collectors and people who also played them in clubs. it wasn't long before marcoffski also had record players at home and started collecting records. 

today, his collection includes all the genres mentioned above and he plays a set to match the occasion.

so close your eyes, open your ears and enjoy this unelectronic work of music arts with a lot of LOVE and smooth, but positive POWER.

Hello everyone! What a tornado we are all in this year. There is quite something going on in the world and BLM and Covid-19 affect more people compared to any other event over the last few years. There are still disasters going on everywhere on this planet where many people don’t even know about. From being homeless to losing your beloved one(s), being a refugee child or having a flooding which makes your house being under water. From a bushfire to so much plastic in the ocean (and thus: our bodies if we consume seafood). Talking about BLM…..I am white and I feel ashamed for myself and my ancestors who have been part of history and the present time where people of colour were and are treated differently. I genuinely hope that we all can make a change. Underneath our colour is a human of flesh, blood, a heart, senses and two ears. So without making this too much of a political talk. Let’s try to create a change, all of us, to make society more equal to all. And coming back to your senses and two ears….please have a listen to my new podcast. This podcast is  definitely a memorable one for me cause although I am still very privileged, I find it hard to see so much pain and inequality going on in the world. El Extravagante Live Act for Baikal Nomads

@ElExtravagante is a nomad from Chile, the last country to the South of planet Earth actually based in Montréal/Canada, ¨the other side of the world¨. His music is a mix of tropical grooves and electronic folklore with sometimes a spicy touch of Psychedelia. 

Due the lack of opportunities as a South American immigrant with an electronic music project  outside the norm of the Canadian scene, mostly into House/Techno, he decided to create an alternative and with @Don-Mescal (another immigrant, from France) in 2018 they created @CosmovisionRecords & Collective, opening a whole new platform that gave visibility and a voice to many local and international artists, from Montréal to the world.


In this Live Act you can enjoy many of ¨El Extravagante¨ original songs plus a few remixes and one or two unreleased tracks as well, going between electronic folklore/cumbia and downtempo, done with Ableton, a few synths and acoustic instruments recorded live, enjoy!
