Francesco Clemente and Heinrich Dressel cross the sea of sounds where everything is permitted. The outcome is an album that’s rich in fascinations, and divided in two parts: in the first one the Canadian composer plays some suspended and gentle sounds, while in the second one Dressel brings the listener to an eternal struggle between darkness and light, comfort and despair.

The limited series of Frustrated Funks ever growing catalog now sees MinimalRome chief Heinrich Dressel explore aquatic territories below the surface of mud streams that rise high in the Apennine Mountains and flow to find their way to the Tyrrhenian Sea. Ancient legends of the Tiber River tell stories like the one of Rome's founders, the twin brothers Romulus and Remus, who were abandoned on it's waters and where they were rescued by a mystic she-wolf. Dressel tries to capture these great legends that lurk in the depth and surround the Roman area. Great music comes from great minds. Great minds are inspired by great stories. And no technical application can count or analyze the importance of that!"

'Shapeshifting' from Heinrich Dressel - aka Italian synth musician Valerio Lombardozzi - is loosely inspired by 'creature feature' movies he watched growing up, including those of John Carpenter and contemporary horror auteurs, but just as much by natural phenomena such as glaciers, which 'shape shift' over time... and also by the fact that Valerio's music likewise shape shifts between his various musical personas and projects.

The musician has several musical projects and pairings on the go, including one with ex Claudio Simonetti's Goblin bassist Federico Amorosi - called Dressel Amorosi.

This is Heinrich Dressel's debut release for Spun Out Of Control. Catalogue number SOS 038

sonorous journey through the darker side of the electro, taking the commands of the Elka 
Synthex, one of the most impressive polysynths in the history of music, planned and 
manifactured by Mario Maggi in the early 80s, as the commercial brother of the MCS70, 
synth that gave birth to a masterpice album like "Automat". 
Captivating hybrid of styles, mixing the chilling-menacing mood of the 70s / 80s lo-fi funkadelic horror 
soundtracks to outerspace synthesised soundscapes in a pure classy vein. 
This is cryptical-kosmische psychedelica with a nice electro retro touch and avant-minimalist vibes."
