For the 679th episode of @DarkScienceElectro we turn to Copenhagen, Denmark, where we find producer @Delayscape - He isn't usually a DJ but I convinced him to make an exclusive mix for DSE anyway. 

Since the mid 2000’s he has released music on labels such as Anna Logue Records, Go Finger, Cold Beats Records, and Noise To Meet You, as well as influential netlabels like Elpa Music and Monotonik. His style is best described as a mixture of instrumental Synth Pop, Electro, and IDM. Inspirations include classic 1980’s Synth Pop, 1990’s British Techno, IDM, Electro and loads more. The music is made on analogue and digital hardware synths, drum machines and effects boxes controlled by simple midi sequencers. Delayscape also plays in industrial/synth band Heinz Beauvaix.

Half of the dark synthwave duo THE HUNT ,Herbert West is a French electronic producer heavily influenced by 70’s and 80’s horror soundtracks. This artist tends to use vintage, analog and modular synths and It´s important to point out that he has released with the Hunt two albums through the well-known labels Giallo Disco (2014) and Bordello a Parigi (2018). 

Vortice Mortale is his new project in which he mixes space disco and dark synth music.It is clear as water that Herbert West loves Italian horror movies and French disco music of the past decade considering that this work “Memento Mori” is perhaps a perfect combination of powerful beats, enigmatic passages and wicked catchy melodies.

Plastician and Spanish production starlet Juche link up for a unique and fun take on Juche's previously released "eNight" track. Repackaging the release is a new version from Plastician, which strips back much of the original's Trance roots to give it a more subtle and UK approach. He reached out to Juche after hearing the original on shuffle whilst driving, and constantly humming a 2 step drum beat in his head - a few months down the line and here we are listening to his UK Garage inspired version of a Trance track. Unlike anything we've released before, we're excited to see how this one translates!

Dead Husband, an electronic duo based out of Boston & NYC, have forged a truly unique sound by creatively blending their influences of italo, new wave, industrial, techno and rave. With a number of EPs already under their belt on labels including Waste Editions, Sisters Recordings, and Idol Patterns, each release has seen the outfit push their sonic palette and songwriting into new and exciting territories.  Dead Husband recently made their Bordello A Parigi debut with their new EP ‘Iguana’.

I am breathing electronic music since late 70s and that's over 45 years now. From Kraftwerk, Jean Michel Jarre, Mike Oldfield, Depeche Mode, Erasure, Yazoo, Alphaville, Men without Hats, Nitzer Ebb, Die Krupps, Front 242, Anne Clark, Camouflage, Gary Numan, OMD, Apopytygma Berzerk and even the Commodore 64 demo & break dance scene to more contemporary Electronic music artists, I witnessed the evolution of Electronic music, which basically means I am an old fart and consider myself an authority in this music genre 😵 Currently I listen DnB almost exclusively. But I do not like to restrict myself at all, enjoying flavors like Electronica, Trance, Psytrance, Tech House, Dubstep, Deep House, Future Pop, Trap, Techno, UK Bass and of course EBM/Industrial as well.

What you will find in my likes and playlists is the top of the crop in Electronic Music, I will  absolutely not list any bullshit. A track I have not listed might be just that: Bullshit, just mediocre or an artistic gem which I haven't discovered yet.
