With 'Fire in Me' we welcome Innėr Sense to ICONYC in collaboration with vocalist Dana Barbara. The duo delivers a slice of warm, pulsating club vibes. The original track kicks things off with its melancholic moodiness shining through as we meander effortlessly through club inspired melodies, while the sultry bassline and Dana's vocals sit wonderfully on top, adding an extra layer of depth and class. The duo mean business and it is evident with every step of the way. Essential stuff!

On remix duty we welcome Stone Van Brooken for his debut on ICONYC with a thumping remix for the ages. The French producer who is known for his driving melodic techno influenced sounds, keeps the ethereal theme of the original alive. It's all about the groove, cool melodic vibes and the deep driving beats that are working their magic around Stone's wonderfully arranged keys and the wonderful use of elements on offer. 

The second remix comes courtesy of Octavio Gimenez. His unique act and emotional creations carry quite a large scope. He is not afraid to explore esoteric or introspective themes and the end result is always a compelling one. Such is the case with his remix of 'Fire in Me', which carries many of his loved production hallmarks. From a warm, meaty low end to icy atmospherics and an effects storyboard to get lost in, there is certainly a lot to like. The main break is perhaps the high point, with the mood shifting from emotive to ominous with effortless ease. 

Inner Sense feat. Dana Barbara really show that there're no boundaries, as this beautiful gem guides you to a full-on club laden, melodic hug of a release that will cause many smiles induced moments! On the latest and fourth single proceeding Oliver Koletzki’s 10th album “Trip to Sanity”, the Berlin maestro masters myriad moods to impressive effect. The kick-off “Space Papi” set a light tone being a fruity 3am banger that favours bounce over brute force: Koletzki takes no prisoners in regard to dance floor damage by way of the track’s moreish bassline and a healthy dose of white noise grandeur. True to its title, the EP’s namesake “Pleasure of the Very First Time” then bubbles over with playful twists and turns, zigzagging sprightly across its indie-dance thump. Lastly, “Mind Games” takes a turn for darker territories, elevating an almost claustrophobic atmosphere at its outset with Natascha Polke’s mesmerizing vocals before blossoming into a rich apex in its second half, ready to leave you breathless.

Julian Wassermann steps up to the SVT plate with an immersive four track effort that showcases his knack for deep tech melodies. A minimal bassline and synths straight from the depths of space lay the groundwork for Alpha, the kickoff into the EP. A subtle yet effective mood-setter, it makes for a great inaugural cut as the release unfolds. Title piece Aurea calmly follows, looming in with tribal infused percussion and lush, effusive vocals. Garnering an equally atmospheric mood, Wassermann aptly combines airy pads and dark synths into an immensely polarizing cut. People Are Strange dives in on a more dynamic note, centered around a solid bassline with alternating synth lines. Swiftly morphing into an energetic banger via punchy bass and ghostly vocal chops, the construction carries major peak time appeal. For the final contribution Imperia, Wassermann calls on the production skills of fellow Muenchener H.B.C. to create a radiant piece of spacious tech. Layering modular strobes and arpeggiated synths, their production styles merge harmoniously, resulting in a dancefloor-ready strapping groove.
