Jean Pierre Reiche, known as DJ HTTPS, is a 24-year-old artist from Frankenthal (Pfalz), Germany.

His interest in techno music sparked when he moved back to southern Germany from the north, where his brother introduced him to a techno club for the first time, igniting a passion that has persisted ever since.

When selecting tracks for his sets, Jean Pierre enjoys exploring old 90s Various Artist Mixtapes. He delves into the music of artists he discovers, accumulating a diverse collection over time.

One of the most memorable moments in his DJing career was when he had his debut performances in France (Paris) and Spain (Madrid) alongside a Rinse France Mix, all within one weekend—a truly exhilarating experience.

For DJ sets, Jean Pierre typically doesn't prepare anything in advance. Instead, he continuously searches for new tracks and relies on sensing the energy of the crowd to guide his song choices during performances.

Adapting his sets to different venues and audiences depends on various factors, including familiarity with the venue and the vibe of the crowd. He focuses on absorbing and reflecting the energy of the moment.

In terms of musical influences, Jean Pierre enjoys Progressive House/Trance and admires artists like Maara. He doesn't believe in a perfect BPM, ranging from 130 to 155, as it's subjective to individual preferences.

Recalling a unique experience during one of his sets, Jean Pierre humorously shared an incident where someone persistently asked for an autograph across their arm, only to forget his DJ name afterward.

Reflecting on the evolution of the techno music scene, Jean Pierre notes a shift toward heavy reliance on social media, which he finds unfortunate but not essential for success.

Looking ahead, Jean Pierre has an upcoming track release via Sachsentrance and remains open to future projects and collaborations.

His advice for aspiring techno DJs is to remain authentic and true to their passion for music.
