Jussi Uusitalo aka Newhouse is one of the unsung heroes on the Finnish electronic music scene. You know the type - been there, done that but not making a lot of fuss about it. Touted by many as a walking Wikipedia of house music, Newhouse's massive record collection, knowledge of music and DJ sets delight and move many.

Kerri Chandler’s Kaoz Theory welcomes hotly tipped act Demuir onto its roster with his ‘Lusting U’ EP, featuring collaborations with Bluey Robinson and Amalia Leandro.Canada’s Demuir has become one a highly praised name in the world of contemporary house over the past few years, racking up releases on the likes of Loco Dice’s Desolat, Phil Weeks’ Robsoul, Detroit Swindle’s Heist and Catz N’ Dogz Petz Recordings amongst many others. Here we see him joining the roster of Kerri Chandler’s Kaoz Theory, adding yet another driving force imprint to his affiliations.‘Lusting U’ leads the release, featuring vocalist Bluey Robinson who adds his soulful touch to the composition which features shuffled organic drums, circling Rhodes chords, funk-infused resonant synth work and a bumpy bass hook across its six and a half minute duration.‘Espiritual’ follows next, this time welcoming Amalia Leandro on vocal duties. Demuir delivers jazz-leaning drums, intricately unfolding piano melodies, organic bass tones and bubbling synths while Leandro’s enchanting, meditative vocals ebb and flow within. A ‘Dub Mix’ of ‘Espiritual’ is then offered up to round out the release.

Forever pushing musical boundaries whilst producing a distinctive and evolving sound, SHADED brings his Southern California roots to Hot Creations this May with ​Mad Stacks. No stranger to the label following his High. Alive. And Dirty. EP​, Demuir is onboard to deliver a solid remix.
SHADED describes how ​Mad Stacks is the latest iteration of his sound. ​“It appeals to the Tech-House side of the spectrum, as well as the Techno side. I have always felt my music was able to dance along that fine line. Mad Stacks is rooted in my deep love of hip hop music and that West Coast California "G-funk" vibe. Simplistic, pumping, and oozing with attitude.” ​He also explains how he ​experiments with his own vocals. “​People never believe they are mine. I have so much fun writing little vocal hooks, bits that stick in peoples’ heads. ‘Mad Stacks’ just sounded dope.”
Mentored and inspired by Ali ‘Dubfire’ Shirazinia, ​SHADED first appeared as part of the duo SHDWPLAY, who released a string of successful releases on SCI+TEC. He ventured down the solo path with releases on Tiga’s Turbo imprint, including the label’s best-selling release and Mixmag’s ‘Tune of the Month’. He’s also a key associate with Oliver Huntemann’s Senso: appearing on the 5th birthday release. SHADED is now working to finalise a new two-hour live Audio Visual show tailored to his style and vision.
Canadian native ​Demuir adds another dimension to the original, adding a synth loop to create a funky, new melody. With releases already on labels like I'm A House Gangster and MadTech, Demuir’s incredible career ascent shows no signs of slowing down for 2020 and beyond, with releases and remixes on Pets, Sola, Circus, Do Not Sleep and Hot Creations.

Vinyl is my way of trying to introduce new sounds that they otherwise may not get to hear. Jackin House is a style that is very misunderstood Its brilliant so many talented Producers who inspire me with their creativity.

Heist Recordings was founded by Dam Swindle as a means to gain full control over their own releases, and to create a stage for likeminded musicians to showcase their music. From the first release on, Dam Swindle’s “Break up to make up” EP in summer 2013, Heist has been a go to label for proper underground house and electronic music. Now, nearly 40 releases and 5 compilations in, Heist has brought forward artists like Frits Wentink, Nebraska, Adesse Versions, Fouk, Kassian, Nachtbraker and Alma Negra and continues to search for new talent, with Lars & Maarten fully focused on the A&R side of the label. 

Up till 2016, remixes on the label have been solely done by other original Heist artists on the yearly “Round up EP”, where the remixer and remixee get connected by the luck of the draw and a limited edition double pack is put out. After that, Maarten and Lars decided it was time to add remixers to the EP’s as well, which saw interesting collaboration, expanded the label family with names like Matthew Herbert, Tom Noble, Pépé Bradock, Ge-ology and Byron the Aquarius. 

In 2023 we've celebrated 10 years of Heist Recordings. The year showed a whole batch of releases by new artists like Byron the Aquarius, Amy Dabbs and Cinthie and by Dam Swindle themselves.
