Their new Truffles EP is packed with swinging goodness and comes with a jazzy Hugo LX remix. Nearly 2 years after their 'With Lasers' EP, we now give you the 'Truffles' EP. The A-side kicks off with the title track and instantly shows you a new side of Fouk. 'Truffles' is their take on what ravey piano house should sound like and it's funky as hell. Meanwhile, 'I'll be down' is about as Fouk as you can get. With their ever so sexy percussion, a moody vocal and synthy sprinkles all around, you hear so much of what makes their music so energetic and inspiring.

For a little over a year, nobody can stop Madcat: two first sell-out EPs on Folamour’s label, FHUO, and on Pont Neuf, a track "Heard It" which quickly accumulated more than a million views, as well as being the curator of a compilation 3615 Disco, gathering many producers from the new French house scene. The 'prince of the soulful house' (Trax Magazine) is not that kind of person who likes to stay inactive. With his new coming EP "Queens of Sand" the Parisian producer takes us into a new story as rousing as mystical, continuing to break away from the codes of classic disco-house by blithely mixing them with hip-hop rhythms from across the Atlantic.

The EP begins with "Amina de Zaria", a downtempo introduction supported by a catchy guitar riff that immediately sets a funky scene for what’s following on this new release. Then comes "Amanitore", our premiere today, with its dreamy piano line and its guitar with a special touch on which comes a voice that sounds like a message of love to the fans of the Parisian producer. The second part of the maxi opens with "Reine de Saba", a track really cut for the most euphoric hours of a club, mixing aerial melodies and vocals with a rhythm as raw as effective. This new EP ends on "Cléopâtre VII". At first meditative and nostalgic, it turns into an ideal track for the end of a great party, when everyone has given everything on the dancefloor.

Mark Farina and Homero Espinosa have been busy in the studio working on a ton of new music for 2020. ‘Best Of Both Worlds’ is the first of many songs to drop in the new year. This song is both funky and deep and a perfect combination of Homero and Mark’s style mashed into one song. Quirky beats over deep Rhodes, I wonder if you could guess who did what? You had probably heard Mark, Derrick, or Homero play this song at some point last year. Dance floor tested and approved!

Heist Recordings was founded by Dam Swindle as a means to gain full control over their own releases, and to create a stage for likeminded musicians to showcase their music. From the first release on, Dam Swindle’s “Break up to make up” EP in summer 2013, Heist has been a go to label for proper underground house and electronic music. Now, nearly 40 releases and 5 compilations in, Heist has brought forward artists like Frits Wentink, Nebraska, Adesse Versions, Fouk, Kassian, Nachtbraker and Alma Negra and continues to search for new talent, with Lars & Maarten fully focused on the A&R side of the label. 

Up till 2016, remixes on the label have been solely done by other original Heist artists on the yearly “Round up EP”, where the remixer and remixee get connected by the luck of the draw and a limited edition double pack is put out. After that, Maarten and Lars decided it was time to add remixers to the EP’s as well, which saw interesting collaboration, expanded the label family with names like Matthew Herbert, Tom Noble, Pépé Bradock, Ge-ology and Byron the Aquarius. 

2023 we're celebrating 10 years of Heist Recordings. This year will show a whole batch of new artists like Byron the Aquarius, Amy Dabbs and Cinthie and Dam Swindle themselves.
