Heisty - Winter 2024 Promo Mix

Really excited to get this mix out there! This night was truly like a movie! 

This mix was 100% off the cuff so there might be a couple wonky transitions but overall really stoked with how this one came out. Originally had 75 minutes, but got a 15 minute extension at the last minute. My crate started with about 150 track and I carved it down to ~75 tunes and played about 47 over the course of 90 minutes. 

Massive thanks to the folks at Soul'd Out and The Den for having me out and thanks to my pal Rob Noble for giving this recording a lil post master cleanup.

So it's been a solid 9 months since I uploaded my last mix. School has taken up nearly all of my time as of late. Anyway, here is 75 minutes of some of my favorite tracks at 170bpm, mostly on 3 decks. Mad respect for all of the artists and labels featured in this mix. Seeing all these hot releases lately has me feeling extremely hopeful for the state of underground bass music. 

Another huge shout out to the PNW scene as well. Everyone is getting on that collab/support tip. I've never felt so refreshed by the way things are moving. Lots of homies on the come up!

P.S. I know there are a couple sketchy parts in the mix where I forgot to bring back the lows, but I'm sharing this baby with you so I have something to look back on to show my progress. Feedback and comments are always appreciated.

Heisty Winter Mix 2016

Had a lot of fun putting this mix together with some fresh new favorites. It covers a lot of different vibes over the span of 51 minutes starting at 110 with some leftfield vibes moving on up into a few breaky bits followed by some fresh dubstep and grime heat. The last section rolls into an acid laden 150 beat before quickly jumping into a sweet medley of those FWJ, halftime, and vocal heavy jungle rave vibes.  l the end at 165 with a particularly fun ravey section. There are no proper words to say just how much I appreciate all of these artists for always keeping my crates fresh! Thank you all!

This year has been rough for so many of us out there. I am not sure if we are nearing the end of all this, but I'm doing my best to stay grateful for friends, family, and music. Music honestly took a bit of a backseat over the last 9 months. At least in having a good mix session. I forget how much it had helped me in the past. 

So much amazing music has been coming out over the course of the pandemic and I wish so badly I could hear some of these gems on a big system in the woods somewhere. So this mix is dedicated to that feeling we all are missing so very much! I hope to catch ya'll on a dancefloor in the not so distant future!

Heisty is here to amplify sound system culture. He is the co-founder of Sublimate Records based in Portland, Oregon. Heisty serves as curator for Sublimate’s genre-bending mix series and resides behind the decks at the labels live events. His  years of experience have resulted in guest mixes for labels and radio around the country and abroad. He has performed at club nights and festivals all across the west coast and beyond. Heisty continually crosses the spectrum of sound system flavors while delivering a dance experience unlike most you’ll find elsewhere.
