We recently found an unknown masterpiece that has brought us the experimental sound for the first half which serves to open the mind for the obscure half that comes later. Delighted to share our third instalment of the series coming from Romanian talent and London resident, matje.

Recorded live at an Into The Woods boat party in London earlier this year, matje has served up a 2 hour special, showcasing his talent to it’s full extent.

His productions have been released on a number of labels including Equinox, Arupa and Otaku, and also independently on his bandcamp page. 

Matje’s work in the studio is informed by his capabilities as a DJ, with weird and wonderful rolling grooves overlaying to create a textured, micro-house aesthetic. As stated by Meoko, ‘his sets sound like submersions into unknown worlds where it is extremely easy to get lost’.

We got lost, and we’re not quite sure how to get out…
