Hekdb's latest EP comes from Singapore-based producer Dexter Colt. Known for his releases on his own labels, Darker Than Wax and Super Enjoy, Dexter Colt has become a notable presence in the Asian dance music scene.
This new EP blends his signature styles-ranging from leftfield house to electro-into a rich palette of sounds, characterized by deep, floating grooves. The result is a set of delicate yet immersive dancefloor tracks that showcase his refined production sensibilities.

A diverse selector, budding producer, and label head from Singapore, Dexter Colt fuses a love for the deepest sounds with leftfield house, trippy techno, and dubbed-out frequencies. A student of pirate radio and NYC club legends, with over a decade of experience behind the decks, he has distilled a sonic signature built around a deep knowledge of dance music and blistering technique. Through his record labels Darker Than Wax and Super Enjoy, Dexter Colt has been pushing obscure sounds forward from Asia and beyond and through his monthly show on Bristol-based Noods Radio.

Always on the hunt for lost cuts and new talents, Dexter Colt is a mainstay in the Singapore scene and a familiar face across Asia, having shared his sounds at celebrated venues in the region such as Mitsuki (Tokyo), West Harlem (Kyoto), Mihn (Hong Kong), Cakeshop (Seoul), and Potato Head (Bali). Dexter Colt has released several EPs since his debut in 2023 on his labels and Los Angeles label Low Recordings, with several more releases slated for 2025.

Milan-based Piezo (@piezopz) sits at the heart of the current club sounds. He has long had an obsession with sound system music and that defines what he does today: mutant and beguiling club tracks with meticulous sound design and thrilling energy, heavy low ends and a real dose of UK influence from d&b to garage, grime and techno. He kicked off the year by dropping his genre-busting Ecstatic Nostalgia EP on our Dekmantel-UFO sub-label and now returns with a podcast that is just as fresh.

It's a futuristic mix of bleeping machines and lurching rhythms with bright synth designs and deep space ambience. Over the course of 90 minutes, the pace picks up and you're whisked along a variety of rhythms from broken to dubby, head spinning to minimal. It feels utterly spontaneous but is also a fully coherent mix from this restless innovator.

As an electronic music producer and DJ, xylon has evolved from his previous moniker, Busyboi, to focus on crafting minimal grooves, tribal rhythms, and dancefloor-driven sounds. His  EP as "Xylon" is set for release this January. The groove that defines his style is bound to connect directly with the dancefloor.The remix is by Paperkraft, an artist based in Osaka. It stays true to a minimalistic style while adding elements of acid and a sense of speed to create a dynamic track.
