This debut on Soul Express Records doesn’t just nod to House’s golden past - it dances with it, slow and close, like lovers at a barely-lit afterhour.

“Acid Memories” follows - a sun-faded photograph of Balearic reverie where acid is no longer a weapon but a watercolor brush. The 303 doesn't stab; it melts. It weaves through synth lines like heat rising off a Mediterranean road, where every hi-hat is a sigh and every chord progression smells faintly of sea salt and warm skin. This isn’t a track, it’s a mirage: just out of reach and utterly intoxicating.

Mr. Rooge is back for the first time on Gosu showing that he isn't only a skilled house/techno producer but also can go different ways experimenting with breaky electro-like styles to form the second installment on the label. He's accompanied by an yet unknown japanese technician named DJ Yue who is in charge to bring it back to funky techno terms with his remix contribution.

Bosconi Records has long been renowned as arguably Italy’s foremost exporter of house and techno music. 10 years in, they celebrate one decade in the game courtesy of ‘Bosconi Stallions Volume 2’, a 3 x 12” release that features some of the label’s most prominent names.
5 years after the inaugural ’Stallions’ release, ‘Vol.2’ is a timely reminder of the talents of one of electronic music’s most consistent labels.
Before we get to the music, a word for the artist. Bosconi’s iconic stallion is presented again, this time by none other than Silvano ‘Nano’ Campeggi. In case you’re unaware of the man’s work, Campeggi is one of Italy’s most renowned contemporary artists. Active since the 50s, he has portrayed cultural icons such as Marilyn Monroe and designed 'Ben Hur'’s iconic advertisements, which is where he first developed his famous horses concept. His iconic images are associated with the golden era of Hollywood, and he also worked on artwork for the likes of ‘Napoleon’ and ‘Casablanca’.
Suffice to say, stunning artwork should only be matched with stunning music, and ‘Bosconi Stallions Volume 2’ is very much a triumph in this regard too. From Nas1, who kicks off the release courtesy of the brilliantly bleepy ‘Peli Peli’ (complete with 8-bit sounds) to A Guy Called Gerald, whose ‘Always’ sees him welcomed back to the Bosconi fold in emphatic fashion to label boss Fabio Della Torre (who perks up under his Minimono project alongside Ennio Colaci with ‘Pandora Peaks’), this is a release that’s stuffed to the brim with high-quality electronica.
The likes of Riccio (‘Get It On’) and Rei Loci (the suitably named ‘808’) are reminders of the label’s ability to introduce new talents, whereas British tech-house stalwart 100hz shows he’s lost none of his panache on ‘Tenderness’ and Rufus (a member of Bosconi Soundsystem alongside Della Torre and Mass Prod) impresses on the haunting, eerie tones of ‘Under the Line’. Mass Prod is another individual who makes a stunning solo addition here, with ‘Mathemagix’ a frankly mental piece of music that has to be heard to be believed.
The release is full of surprises too. Life’s Track (aka Herva & Dukwa) impress on the chaotic, UK-inspired strands of ‘Wasting My Time’, while Herva’s gorgeous ‘Crash Point’ makes for a fitting finale. Elsewhere, up-tempo cuts from Dukwa (’Thanks Daddy’), Bosconi Soundsystem (‘Tutto Gas) and Soutine ft. The Clover (‘Florence Shuffle’) ensure the listener stays enthralled throughout. A package that features a plethora of exciting sounds, the much-anticipated second ‘Stallions’ series is a real joy from start to finish.

A2 - Scorpio's Track

A long and awaited return to todays scene is that of Gareth Oxby, a very active producer since the 90s with numerous Techno, House and Breaks projects among which the prodigious UK label Alien Funk Movement stands out; of which he is the renowned father and founder.
Bosconi is proud to include this eclectic and talented producer in its stable through one of his most sought-after aliases, "4th Planet Side Steppers". The EP, titled "Warning", celebrates the UK sound of those early years of which he was one of the greatest exponents and pioneers and which is coming back to prominence today: the foundation of the Tech-House sound, a kind of hybrid dense with spatial and futuristic sounds where electro, dub and breakbeat that merge into the 4/4 rhythm creating a unique and incomparable blend.
It starts with the homonymous "Warning" track, where sharp drum sounds support a galaxy of alien bleeps and textures, transporting you into a pacific trance state, a maze-like and hypnotic dimension that is perfect for late night hours or morning awakenings. The second cut of A side brings a previously released track on Gareth’s own AFM label which has been for long time our secret DJ weapon named "Anti-Matter", a funky, rolling, ultra-groovy monster track; an absolute Tech House killer tune with straight and unmistakeable effects on every dance floor we have played.
On the flip side the dreamy, sensual and trippy "Phaeton" closes up this three track EP with its smooth vibe and intelligent electro programmed warm beats giving a special touch to the whole record!
