Hi,
I’m extremely excited to announce Swiss artist DomDom as guest wizz with a very special podcast, by far the deepest ever on my channel.
As I already explained in the description of Witchtape #07, the first hearing of a guest mix is always a particularly intense experience for me.  This time I listened to the podcast while simultaneously chatting with the artist.  So I could give live feedback and share my thoughts track by track.  The first thing I told him was that I wasn’t exactly overwhelmed by the first track (which did disappoint the DJ a bit), but slowly the mix grabbed me by the neck, dragging me deeper and deeper and especially the second part really left me in a state of pure ecstasy… while I made a mystic inner voyage through the Middle East and Andalusia and some other faraway places I couldn’t pinpoint exactly.  And it was only at the end that I realized that the first track was also crucial for the storyline, to create the right mood for the rest.  This is clearly one of these podcasts which need to be listened to in one go.  Only then you’ll be able to capture the whole story.
Anyway, after that I became so fascinated by this mix that I listened to it again.  And again and again (as channel owner I always have a head start over the rest of the world).  And the amazing thing was that each and every time the experience seemed to go deeper than the previous time.  It was as if I was walking in circles through this mystic soundscape, yet each time I discovered something new.

Witchtape #48 | Guest Wizz : TantRut

Like all other days, the artist went for his early morning walk with his faithful dog in a remote area of the scenic Swedish island of Brännö.  It was the morning after a short Scandinavian ‘Midsommar’ night and last evening he spent a long time to observe the rising full moon in the company of his trusted dog.  And that night he had a strange but pleasant dream about 3 witches converging on this island for their monthly coven.  Surprisingly the witches were wearing long white dresses and their energy was not the least bit dark.  The first witch was still in her teens and had very long brown hair.  The second, red-haired witch was in her prime (which is somewhere near 120 years of age), while the third witch was old and grey and she’s already roaming around since the dark days of the Middle Ages.
The three women flew in from 3 different directions and performed a whole series of mystic ceremonies and dances, while not speaking a single word to each other (witches are not talkative by nature).  At one point, they slipped out of their white dresses and started to dance under the stars.  This would go on for many hours until they reached a natural state of trance (without using any substances).  The dancing gradually became more and more energetic and especially the youngest witch got really wild at times, while the oldest witch had a more energy-preserving style, but yet she managed to keep on dancing all night long without interruption.  At daybreak, they stopped dancing and performed some mystic closing ceremonies, before flying away in the direction from where they came.
This coven took place at a distinctly beautiful and impressive spot on Brännö which the artist and his dog were nearing at that very moment during their early morning walk.  At first sight the spot looked the same like on any other day, although there was an unusually big concentration of sheep (who roam freely around the island).  Suddenly the ‘Epagneul Breton’ dog stopped in his tracks and sniffed in the air… then he ran straight to the scenic spot.  Normally he’s very obedient but this time he ignored the restraining calls of his owner and kept on running towards the sheep.  Strangely, the animals didn’t get frightened and soon the dog found himself in the middle of the flock.  When the artist entered the witch’s zone, he felt an unusual calm descending over him, while he noticed that all the sheep looked very peaceful and even slightly hypnotized.  At one moment, something magic happened and he suddenly felt how he became one with the sun and the moon and the stars and planet Earth… and even with the sheep who surrounded him.  It must have lasted only a few seconds, but it felt like an eternity.
At that moment he saw his dog sniffing at an object which was lying on the ground.  The artist picked it up and he saw that it was a thin braid of long hair, and when touching it, he felt an indescribable softness.  At closer inspection, it appeared to consist of three kinds of hair… some hairs were very long and brown, while others had a ginger color and there were also a few grey hairs in between.
The artist decided to take the braid home, but when he neared his house he felt it didn’t feel right to take it inside.  So he hung it on a tree in the garden and saw it sweep gently in the wind.  After just a few minutes, he saw a dunnock land on the same branch and after observing the thing briefly, she resolutely picked it up with her beak and flew straight to a small nearby bush where she was making a tidily crafted nest.  This was pretty amazing given the fact that dunnocks are quite rare on this windy island.
The next morning, the artist checked out the nest and found 3 beautiful blue eggs…

This is my last dj set, before the lockdown, recorded on sunday March 3 in Mazunte (Mexico)during a beautiful sunset en '' La Posada El Architecto'' a beautiful bar, restaurant in front of the beach. The vibe was dope and i know it will be one of my last set before a long time in front of a crowd... For this reason, I made a blend of classics, tropical edits and with some new tracks from my @cosmovisionrecords label.
I hope you will enjoy the journey, close your eyes and feel the breeze of the magnificent hippie village vibes of Mazunte.

Deep Stories wurde mit der Vision gegründet, dass bei unseren Projekten Ton, Text und Bild eine sich ergänzende Einheit bilden sollen, die der Konsument mit allen Sinnen erfassen kann. Über Jahre hinweg haben wir diese Maxime verfolgt und dabei mit unterschiedlichen Musikern, Autoren und Fotografen zusammengearbeitet. Wir freuen uns, dass wir euch diese Woche wieder eine ganz besondere Symbiose aus Musik und Lyrik präsentieren können. Unser Gast Alex Doering hat sich mit dem Autoren Theo Werfel zusammengetan und eine literarische deep story der Extraklasse geschaffen.
Theo Werfel lebt und dichtet in Heidelberg, wo er mit der Literaturbewegung »Es lebe der König!« in den letzten Jahren daran beteiligt war, zahlreiche Veranstaltungen in Zusammenarbeit mit Künstlern aus den verschiedensten Hintergründen und Herkunftsländern zu organisieren. 2014 kam so auch das erste Heidelberger Literaturfestival »Im Namen der Republik.« zustande. Gemeinsam mit »Protective Circle« brachte »Es lebe der König!« Schriftsteller, Musiker und Maler aus ganz Europa zusammen, die auf die verschiedensten Arten Literatur auf der Bühne erlebbar machten. Im Zuge dieses Festivals lernten sich auch Alex Doering und Theo Werfel kennen und stellen nun, in guter Erinnerung an vergangene Kooperationen, ein neues Projekt vor, das die natürliche Rhythmik von Werfels dichterischer Produktion, mit von Alex Doering feinsinnig ausgewählten Stücken verbindet. Inder letzten Zeit macht Theo Werfel selbst vor allem Musik, zusammen mit Pallas Aktiv, mit dem er die Band »da.« gegründet hat und noch in diesem Jahr das Album »Was du willst« veröffentlichen wird.

trndmsk: Rammö, what can we look forward to in the next few minutes?

Rammö: You can look forward to listening to the set! Would be great already Ah! If not, for the lazy ones, you are missing a special unusual podcast made with so much löve! A very positive podcast, full of weird stuff, beatless tracks and samples, upcoming gems and groovy based tracks. Tracks energizing me for the day. An audiophiliac’s dream adventure

When did you record the set? What surrounded you at the time?

I luckily recorded the set in front of a beautiful sunset. I am at the moment stuck in Thailand while I was touring in Asia. I kinda want to go back home in Europe but I can’t complain here - so let quarantaine last a little longer! 

How did you choose the tracks? Did you make a plan before?

I never really prepare any set or gigs but I received a lot of promos lately especially from artists who don’t get the exposure they truly deserve yet. (what shame) cause their productions are next level. 
So I was so glad to be able to include them during this sunset session!

Do you have a favorite track included in the mix? 

Big shoutout to Axel Boman for releasing such a special track. On repeat.

What three songs do you tend to use in your current sets?

Definitely "Eyes of my Mind" by Axel Boman and the gems I was previously talking about, by Bongbeck, Edvin Camema and Robot Love.

What are your near future projects? Are you working on any other projects?

The main project is to come back to Amsterdam or France for now. Pretty tough project at the moment. Taking this crisis and rough time to work a lot on productions in an improvised funky studio here in Thailand. Finalizing projects (finally), working on a new EP and a track for the upcoming Klassified VA. I was working on a cool project I always dreamt about, that combines a wide range of different art together with electronic music. However the virus was not a big fan of the project I guess, and it will be postpotned to next year. Can't wait to share this with you!

(Story continued from Witchtape #58)

On that April evening, the little witch had nimbly climbed into the tallest tree of the forest to get a better view of the glorious sunset.  After the last rays of sunlight had faded away, an even more amazing celestial constellation unfolded in the western sky, with a tiny crescent of the new moon following the sun down to the horizon, followed by planet Venus.  Actually, the girl had never seen Venus shine so brightly, and the soft green glow of the planet really got under her skin, raising her feminine energy to a level she had never felt before.  High up in the tree, she felt so intensely connected with mother earth and with planet Venus at the same time… and also with the baby witch who was sleeping peacefully in the safety of her womb.  At that moment, she realized she was not a little girl anymore, but a fully-fledged witch.
A few minutes later, the little witch sensed a presence at the foot of the tree.  And when she looked down, her heart skipped a beat.  In the soft moonlight and greenish Venus glow, she saw her wizard standing below her… he had finally returned from his ancestral grounds in Africa.  The little witch swiftly descended to the lowest branch of the tree, from where the giant (2m40 tall) wizard gently picked up the petite (1m58) girl and he held her tightly in his arms while they exchanged a passionate welcome kiss.  Of course, the wizard had many stories to tell from his home village in the African rain forest, but first they simply enjoyed each other’s company, while snuggling close to one another on the soft moss.  Soon the moon would disappear behind the horizon, followed by planet Venus.  But by then, witch and wizard were already in their own world of love and joy on their soft bed of dry moss, only having eye for each other, even when it started to rain well after midnight, ending a dry weather spell of 6 weeks.  And at daybreak, all animals were surprised to see the forest all of a sudden covered with a colorful flower carpet… spring was in the air…

Witchtape #69 | Guest Wizz : Javi Trigo

On that sunny day in May, the little witch stood at the foot of the tallest tree of her forest and sang a sweet song.  She hugged the tree tenderly and she sensed the forest giant was inviting her in.  So, the nimble petite (1m58) witch climbed the tree with the agility of a squirrel, like she often does, generally all the way up into the canopy.  But this time she stopped climbing somewhere in the middle, finding a thick branch where she sat down and laid her ear on the stem.  At first she didn’t hear much, but after a while she clearly heard the juices flowing deep inside the tree.  And after gently caressing the bark a few times she heard a kind of roar coming from inside the stem, pumping juices way faster than before and she even discerned the pulse of the tree, coming from the roots deep under the ground.  The presence of the young witch had a spectacular effect on the forest giant, and after a while she was surprised to see that beautiful white flowers started to bloom all over the tree, after which the girl gave the tree a tender kiss.  All the nearby birds and animals looked in awe at this colorful spectacle… even the oldest owls had never seen these white blossoms.  Soon the word spread around the forest and all animals wanted to see these beautiful white flowers covering this giant tree.  Meanwhile, the little witch was completely oblivious of the crowd around the tree, as the time was nearing for her afternoon nap… soon she drifted away into a blissful sleep, while being held tenderly (and safely) by the giant tree.
After waking up, the girl hugged the tree once again and laid her ear on the stem.  Soon she heard a rumble coming from the deepest roots of the giant, while the juices were flowing again in overdrive from the tip of all roots all the way up to each and every leaf.  It became so intense that the whole tree started to shake and the white flowers started to fall down like snow, covering the witch from head to toe.  At that moment, a fresh breeze started to blow and the white flower petals were flying through the whole forest now, and all animals looked in amazement at this spellbinding spectacle… yet another indication that this was not an ordinary forest.
