Hey folks. We are very happy to connect with & welcome ph3.3 (@phthreepointthree) from Spain for a moving guestmix :) 
Please take your time to dive into her beautifully crafted story to share her thoughts that she would describe as the following:

"There are as many paths as there are possibilities to live in this world. It could be said that there are as many paths as there are individuals and all of them are full of differences, nuances or peculiarities. It blows my mind to think that 7,700 million people possess different traits and characteristics in a unique way and that each of these people symbolically took one of those 7,700 million paths that they had.

But let's stop thinking about what differentiates us and focus on what unites us. Although we consider ourselves strangers to most people, our paths are much more similar than we think. Who does not have a road full of ups and downs? Who has not stumbled on those stones over and over again? Who has not felt lost? Who has not needed to find the courage to continue? Who has not suffered? Who has not needed a hug? Who has not ever wished? Who has not felt cold or fear? Who has not felt lonely or tired? Who has not felt like a wolf or a lamb?

Be that as it may, the paths like life push us and never stop. And I wonder ... Are we the ones who have the freedom to decide the path to take? Or is it a predetermined path painted of apparent freedom?

Freedom is a privilege that not everyone possesses so unfortunately, for many, there is no possible choice of paths. Conditioned to take their path, there are also those who are oppressed, whether due to racial, gender, sexual or economic conditions.

I would like to dedicate this session to all of those people who, banned from freedom and rights, have been forced to take a path because there was no other. I hope that life will reward you in some way and that justice can be found.
I suppose it is not too much to think for a moment if our behavior can affect the path of these people and if we can do something to change it.

Gratitude towards life and the universe is a gesture that brings with it respect, trust and kindness. They are all vital components that with no doubt will enrich and full our path with peace."

CosmCast 21: GuestMix by ph3.3 - Paths

Hi,
I started working on this witchtape back in July.  This time I took a different approach and started with a storyline but without tracks.  I conceived this mix as a road trip, starting in the plains of Argentina, through the valleys of Chile all the way up to the Andean Mountains, and even higher as the final section emulates the majestic flight of the condor, high above the mountain peaks.  And it quickly became clear that the title should be ‘El Cóndor’.
So I had a story, but still no tracks.  I’m only a deep house fan since the start of this year and back in July my knowledge of South American tracks was very limited.  So I listened attentively to lots of stuff on Soundcloud and if I felt that a track would suit a part of the story, I selected it purely by intuition based on the sound.  I didn’t pay much attention to track names or lyrics.  In any case, my knowledge of Spanish is pretty basic and my knowledge of the Quechua language is limited to the word ‘Quechua’ itself.
Anyway, by September the tracklist was finally complete and I started mixing it all together.  At one point, I recognized the word ‘condor’ in one of the tracks, Dueños De La Cima.  After a few repeat plays, I realized the track was about all the animals which are the rulers of the Andean Mountains, including the condor.  Nice coincidence, I thought.  So, I continued mixing and by early October, I was finally satisfied about my podcast.  Only then I started to get curious about the mysterious title of another track, which is ‘Kuntur Qorianca’.  I looked it up on Google, and I had a real jawdropping moment when I saw that ‘Kuntur’ is the Quechua word for ‘condor’.  I just couldn’t believe it.  I had 2 tracks about condors in my ‘Condor’ mix and all the time I didn’t realize it.  So, was this a case of me selecting the tracks, or the tracks magically inviting themselves into the mix?  Or let’s just call it intuition – the art of tuning in into the energy of a track…

Good morning my J ! You hope well… I agree !

➢ To start you off tell us what song puts you in a good mood in the morning? 

Actually a track that has just been released is making my mornings. It’s «Painting of Relaxation» from Kalabrese and Kayak. I love the flow, the voice and it’s a 15 minutes track, perfect for walking to my workplace. Otherwise it's a song (that will be hard to dethrone) «Pour Aisha» from S.A.M. I listen to it almost everyday and especially in the morning. You should try the entire album.

➢ Tell us briefly why the name Atropos ? 

The Acherontia Atropos known as the death’s-head hawkmoth came to me because I love moths and what they represent, as a spirit animal : to never despair and that there is always light available when we seek it.

➢ You have played a lot of b2b's tell us one or two things you that love playing b2b's that you don't get when just DJ'ing alone? 

I love playing b2b’s and obviously sometimes you have deeper connections with some people you play with. When you really fit with someone while doing a b2b you inspire each other, the mix is crazy ! you don’t know the next track but you have to choose the next one. It’s a great complicit time !

➢ 2020 has been a difficult year for the music scene, how has it changed in your hometown and what do you think will change in the future? 

It's hard to put to the side our social relations. I'm staying positive like always and regarding the future the choice is not always given but there will be a lot of good that will come as a result of this crisis. Like with all bad things actually. 

➢ Lastly, regarding this mix, can you tell us a bit about your thought process behind the tracks you chose?

For this set, and for many others, I take a visual picture my current tracks of the moment but also of my mood and my music crate diggings. This time I am mixing some groovy disco with ketapop all on a downtempo flow.
