Here's a little love story. About me and the Technodrome, a truly amazing stage at Midburn in Israel. But mostly it’s about people, the great group of friends that make magic happen at the regional burn event and parties they organise themselves.

Lev Kraitman can be considered the founding father of the Technodrome, a dome full of lights with a stage in the middle. After he saw me play at AfrikaBurn last year he asked me to come join their camp and play on that stage last October. It was the beginning of a great friendship, that resulted in me coming back to Israel twice already.

This week it was Purim, the Israeli version of carnival to celebrate an important day in their history. It’s a week filled with amazing parties, and the Technodrome group threw one at the most beautiful location you can imagine: The Tower of David in the old centre of Jerusalem. I got to play there, and it felt like a really special new chapter in this book that keeps getting more beautiful with every page.

Thank you Lev, thank you Itamar, thank you Shira and thank you to all the other wonderful human beings that make this magic happen (you know who you are). It’s an honour to be part of the family, and it was an honour to play this set between those ancient walls.

Purim 2023: Ed Noodle live @ Tower of David - Paradox by Technodrome

It seemed to be a day like any other deep in the woods.  Despite her young age, the witch was omnipresent performing her daily duties as protector of the forest :  frolicking with the healthy animals, tending to the injured and comforting the dying animals.  It was a beautiful sunny day, but the mood changed suddenly as the witch felt a sharp pain in her right side.  All birds went silent instantly.  She knew what this meant :  somebody was cutting down one of her beloved trees somewhere in her realm.  There was no sound of a chainsaw, so it must have been in some remote part of the forest.  The witch quickly dispatched her friend the owl to search the spot.  Within minutes the ill-fated tree had been located and the witch arrived at the crime scene (witches can move very fast in case of an emergency).  They arrived just in time to witness the tree crashing down.  She felt powerless and heartbroken when she heard the lamenting moans of the poor tree (which is only audible for witches).  The culprit turned out to be a man with a big brown dog.  It was clear that she needed to make him stop for good, but the question was how.  Witches follow a strict code of non-violence and – contrary to popular belief – they don’t know any dark spells.  Then she had an idea.  The human was obviously a hopeless case, but she felt his Belgian shepherd might have some common sense.  So the witch dispatched her owl to have a chat with the dog…  (to be continued with witchtape #16)…

For our next episode, we are delighted to present the super talented Romanian producer, DJ and live act, IV-IN.

IV-IN describes his music as a “natural movement in a synthetic world”. His sound is often characterized by the use of acoustic elements, guitar sounds, and “noise” that surrounds him, the raw organic feeling of the tracks and an experimental approach of producing. 

With releases on Underyourskin, Magician Duty and Wind Horse, IV-IN put together for us an hour of deep and atmospheric mix which just like his productions delivers an eclectic sound. His exclusive mix consists of a beautiful selection of tracks half of which are his own music. "Dance Again" is the only released track whereas the rest are unreleased.
