Mit einem liebevollen Ahoi, begrüßen wir in unserer heutigen Ausgabe des 60 Zoll.Cast das Nordlicht Julién (@julien_accent_aigu). Genau wie wir schlägt er musikalisch weder einen bestimmten Kurs ein, noch richtet er sich nach bestimmten Tempi-(Limits) sondern mag es gerne bunt.... am liebsten von allem etwas! Auf Open-Airs gerne fetziger, zuhause im Lockdown gerne gemütlicher.

Ob mal schnell und düster oder leichtlebig und zerstreut bewegt sich das heute mitgebrachte Set irgendwo dazwischen: Es verlässt gemütlich den mit Möwen umherschwirrenden Hafen und lädt später die nach durchtanzten Nächten sehnenden Beine zum Mitwippen auf dem Sonnen-Deck ein.

Das Set ist im Februar im Rahmen eines Soli-Streams von den KollegInnen der Lotenheim-Crew (@lotenheim) entstanden.

As the final piece of her 25th anniversary, DJ Isis is now presenting her new project ‘Isis & Mozes’ to the world. Their debut EP 'OSTARA' is released April 12th, 2018 at KROOKS Records. OSTARA is the outcome of an intensive collaboration with her new studio partner Mozes.

On OSTARA, Isis & Mozes worked with different musicians, instrumentalists, and vocalists. These are the key ingredients that formed the basis for the compositions made by @isismozes. In addition to the electronic parts of the compositions, Isis & Mozes used different types of instruments featuring Mozes on guitar and Isis on vocals.

Besides their own compositions, one of the tracks on OSTARA is produced in collaboration with colleague-producer and dj: @tripjag. In addition, the producers-trio @yorkultura made a hefty remix of their track Aerial for the EP. More info on the EP: www.krooks-records.com/album/isismozes-ostara

Then, as sudden as it came, the rain stopped and the tornado retreated back into the clouds.  The sun started to shine, painting an intensely colored rainbow in the sky.  The animals hesitantly left their shelter, reassuring each other that all were sound and safe.  But then they realized that the center glade was empty, with no trace of witch or wizard, who had both been sucked up by the tornado.  They all became very worried and started searching frenetically for the missing couple, some of them couldn’t hold back their tears as they knew this garden of Eden would be lost without the protection of the witch.  A few minutes later they heard the hoot of an owl in the distance… the witch had been found.  She was lying unconscious near the little tree she planted a few months earlier.  No trace of the wizard though.  Strangely she was wearing different clothes now… still long and white but embroided with some mysterious red and green symbols…  Even stranger, her brown hair seemed to have grown a few centimeters longer…
Her condition stayed the same for the rest of the day… and the whole night while her most beloved animals didn’t move from her side.  Then at sunrise, finally the witch opened her eyes… all animals made a sigh of relief as they saw her bright green eyes sparkle again.  She quickly stood up, combed her hair (first things first) and immediately took up her daily duties as if nothing had changed.
Yet everything had changed…

This chapter of our series welcomes Sobhan's musical world, all the way from Perth, Australia. Enter a world that’s comprised of frequencies which trigger raw emotions of longing and of homecoming, frequencies that connect us to the core of being.

Sobhan’s sounds are influenced by his musical roots and upbringing, embracing the nomadic sounds from around the world and expressing them within a modern context, creating fusions which can transcend time and place. Raised in a family with a multicultural background and diverse musical influences, Sobhan was exposed to different genres from an early age, ranging from Rock and Blues to Reggae, Spanish, French, Indian, classical and Persian music. So far, he has releases on labels such as Monada Project, Kosa Records, Ready Mix Records, and Art Vibes Music which gathered amazing support by the likes of Ali Farahani, Kora, Niki Sadeki, Be Svendsen, Maga, Amine K, BiG AL, Savvas, George X to name a few.
