"sorin george rastoaca, aka vid, has been involved with music for quite a while now… some of his earliest releases under a different alias harken back to 2010. in 2012, the launch of his own label, aptly named andromeda, cemented the foundation of a project dedicated to sharing the ornate sounds stemming from the world that vid walks within.

as a producer, vid heavily draws inspiration from nature. the world around him projects an abundance of sound… from the melodic chirping of birds to the effervescent bubbling of rivers, or, the gentle rustling of the wind as it passes through the nearby woods. in these delicate moments, vid finds the right ingredients to coalesce resulting in otherworldly grooves and soundscapes that transport the mind. genre is of no consequence as these pieces of music blur and blend between the minimalistic shades of house and techno (and all things in between). this is music that speaks from the heart as much as it soothes the mind.

as a dj, that same production imaginativeness manifests in the style of sets vid enjoys bringing about. his ear has a penchant for finding the records that have unique off-kilter sounds that easily find a home within his sonic nature walk. the end result? a curated journey that’s meant to challenge expectations, elicit surprise and above all else… spark joy.

Just the bit

Helene Records is a new electronic music record label.
Sub label of Clonk Records, it can be considered its little sister.
The Helene project is now conceived through an experimental sound, with a well defined musical line, new artists from the underground scene, but also yet affirmed artists.
The first work will be released in april 2021.
In short, we are ready to start this new musical adventure with happiness and determination.
