Mia Koden (@miakoden) first emerged as half of Sicaria Sound but since breaking out alone has established her own musical identity. It draws on her South Sudanese heritage and music from across the African continent and beyond, not least her current surroundings in South London and the city's rich sound system culture. Often operating around the 140BPM mark, she dropped two head-turning tracks ‘Hot Take' and 'I Did’ early last year then debuted on Ilian Tape with a dark and irresistible EP that traverses multiple bass-heavy genres.

Mia does the same with her mix for us this week with, in her words, "bass, percussive, 2step, 140BPM, dubstep, dub, dub techno and breaks" all coming thick and fast at up to 150 beats per minute. It's a breathless 90-minute selection of global body music packed with lively percussion, big on low ends and not afraid to get rhythmically inventive while also dropping in the odd playful vocal from the worlds of grime and r&b. Both technically sound and tastefully assembled, it's a thrilling statement from the vital Koden.

Luigi Tozzi is an Italian DJ, live act and producer known for his atmospheric and immersive performances. 
He is an adroit manipulator of sounds, reflected in his productions that fall into the deeper, atmospheric areas of electronic music. They are impactful without applying force, evoking a cocoon-like sento in its listeners. 
Tozzi found his artistic home on labels like the Swedish Hypnus Records or Non-Series, where he regularly releases. 
Since his first release on Hypnus in 2014, he contributed numerous times to their catalogue and label showcases. 
His major project on the label is the "Deep Blue" album trilogy released in 2014, 2016, and 2021. 
It draws inspiration from a profound fascination with the oceanic world, a recurring theme in both Tozzi’s life and work. 
In 2023, an especially adapted ambient version of “Deep Blue” premiered in London. Tozzi's releases on Non-Series, like “Tender is the Night” (2019), “Almost Blue” (2021), and “Spiral” (2023), emphasize distinct sound elements and focus on techno with a minimalist aesthetic.

Furthermore, he contributed to a variety of labels like Mental Modern, OUTIS Music and Calipso.

Besides his work as a Live Act, DJ, and producer, Tozzi is involved in sound designs for art and film projects and is known for collaborations with other musicians and artists.

Cualli’s latest EP, “The Monk of Chunk,” is a colorful blend of meticulously crafted sound design and adventurous musicality. Within these five tracks, Cualli delves deep into the swung out rhythms of Dilla-era hip hop; the fusion of slippery synthesis and immense sub pressure with these rhythms comes across as chaotic yet careful in its execution. Beyond drawing inspiration from both mid-tempo bass music and halftime drum ’n bass, the release sits within a world of personal experiences and field recordings from various international nature locations such as the Amazon of Peru, the Northern California redwoods, and the Himalayas. 

Released as a pay-what-you-want album via Gravitas Recordings, the EP exudes a unique quality that speaks both of his personal experience as well as a broader sense of the world of nature. Through this music, Cualli hopes to inspire feelings of awe and respect for the majesty of nature as well as provide a vision for the potential artistic beauty in the synthesis between humans, technology and the environment.

[ENG] Heliocentrism is a project which has arisen in Warsaw in 2013 as a cooperation between Antonina Nowacka (currently: WIDT, kIRk) and Kuba Karwacki. 
Debut album "Mir" was released under the name of Kuba Karwacki's solo project "Hezment" in 21 december 2012. First festival where the band played live set was Tree of Life 2013 in Turkey. Heliocentrism concerts were played in psychedelic club parties in polish biggest cities and on festivals such as Goa Dupa, Yaga Gathering (Lithuania), Gaia (Lithuania). 
The sound is generated by the electronic landscapes sensitively surrounded by transcendental vocalizing which invites listener to take part in an unusual sonic experience, floating in between the perception, form and content... 

[PL] Heliocentrism to projekt muzyczny powstały w Warszawie w 2013 roku jako kooperacja Antoniny Nowackiej (obecnie WIDT, kIRk) i Kuby Karwackiego.  
Debiutancki album "Mir" został wydany pod nazwą projektu solo Kuby Karwackiego "Hezment" 21 grudnia 2012. Pierwszym festiwalem gdzie zespół zagrał na żywo był Tree of Life 2013 w Turcji. Późniejsze koncerty odbywały się na klubowych imprezach psychodelicznych w całej Polsce i na festiwalach takich jak Goa Dupa, Yaga Gathering (Litwa), Gaia (Litwa), Ufo Bufo (Czechy).
Brzmienie Heliocentrism powstaje w harmonijnym uzupełnianiu się zarejestrowanych dźwięków naturalnych przestrzeni i odległych, podwodnych, subtelnych bitów, otoczonych transcendentalnymi wokalizami, zapraszających słuchaczy to wzięcia udziału w dźwiękowym doświadczeniu oscylującym pomiędzy formą, treścią a percepcją…
