DJs and dancers will be asking for this track ID. 

Driving Away From Home (Edit)

In a small, aging factory nestled between rusted warehouses, the machines groaned under the weight of decades of labour.

However, there was one machine—an old lathe—who refused to surrender. At first, it creaked and sputtered when the new software was installed, its wheels grinding against the sleek interface. But as the new technology clicked and whirred around it, something extraordinary happened: the lathe began to adapt.

It shimmered beneath the glow of the floodlights.

The adaptation had begun.

The title track, ʻWe Are Worlds Awayʼ, was written and recorded in Stockholm, Swedenʼs Pansarmarängen Studio with the help of longtime collaborators Fredrik Swahn (Dungen, Melodyʼs Echo Chamber) and Morgan Phalen (Justice, Drakkar Nowhere), while the B side, ʻFree Timeʼ, was written with veteran Swedish producer Anders Hansson (Secret Service, Army of Lovers), and features the tasteful filigree guitar work of Jaleel Bunton (TV on the Radio).

For its fifth anniversary, Deeppa Records presents a two-part various artists compilation exploring the theme of duality. The first part kicks off with Jehan's 'Casino Aquatique' which is a breezy and warm deep house jam with smooth vocals radiating soul. Scruscru then brings more funky drums and expressive disco melodies, and Shaka's 'That Spot Under The Sun' is pure Mediterranean vibes. NO ZU Saxophonist and multi-instrumentalist Cayn Borthwick is undertaking a Master of Music specialising in Interactive Composition. As part of the degree, Cayn has set himself the formidable challenge of producing one piece per week for 52 weeks. One of the 52 was the groundwork for ‘Tools’ – a track that he’s fine-tuned and kindly donated to the Sanpo archives as a free download. Tools is a dubby, sax-laden track, residing somewhere between a freeform avant-disco jam and a 2001 space odyssey. Enjoy!

Gallo is a Berlin based Italian who is a key part of the nu-Balearic movement. He makes, plays and loves uplifting music that is loveably epic and emotional. He’s recently remixed Chris Coco, is part of the Balearic Gabba Sound System, resident at horizontal party Buena onda in Berlin and Ibiza and co-hosts his own radio show, My Way. He also has a new 12" EP on Slow Motion (Orange Stripe) coming soon, so is very much on the rise. 

1986 is a super slow motion bit of bliss with sunset synths swirling about like a zephyr. As it plays out you can almost feel the sand between your toes and the rays of the fading sun on your face. Perfect stuff.
