Third edition of JAZZVE #Tunesbymates compilation is aimed to present the most talented producers from the Post Soviet region. 

Various Artists ~ Aesthetics Vol. 3 will be released on 22th April on hand marbling painted  cassettes and digital two weeks later.  This time label's curators have collected sunny and soulful disco grooves with exotic spices on the A-side and dissolved in sophisticated experiments with sound  and genres on the B-side.

Bogdan Ra is a young and promising russian producer and DJ from Syberia based in St. Petersburg. His enormous sense of music aesthetics makes all works a little masterpiece. 'Lika & Sharks' is a play with an interview of russian dance-pop icon of the 90's.

I think most of the best stuff people make comes in those loose moments that take place between doing everything else properly. Psychedelectricity is me writing lyrics for a fictitious song title that I read in a comic book story by Grant Morrison almost 30 years ago."

Discos Capablanca return with a record from the mysterious Detroit-based Sharif Laffrey (we know little more than his place of birth, and that he likes to ride his bike and warm weather) who brings the heat on the Turn It Up 12". Recorded in Detroit in the late 80s and released on a cassette tape compilation in 1988, the original "Turn It Up" is a long forgotten gem from the period that Electro was beginning to morph and mutate into nascent forms of Techno. Excavated by Hugo Capablanca's label, the track is presented in an edited version that stays true to the original and complemented by an Acid Dub Not Dub version that implements plenty of deranged 303 action.

The Last Men On Earth Rework of "Devious Fragmets" transports the eclectic original version to a more classic house terrain. By utilizing the original percussions and vocals, it preserves the essence of the piece while introducing a bass line with movement that diverges from Gianet's proposed rhythm. The interplay of questions and answers with new vocals unveils a new chapter for this work, which also plays with the nuances of jazz and rock n' roll.

After a splendid, sought after 12” on Pyramids Of Mars, an already expensive edits split Ep with Red Axes on Edit Service and his highly original and acclaimed self released debut album “Don’t touch my sister” Rouge Mecanique delivers a stone cold classic Ep for Discos Capablanca. The psychedelic steady muscle of ‘All Will Be Changed’ aims to destroy visionary dance floors. ‘Sans Scrupules’ is the most surprising acid banger you will likely hear this year. ‘Ampedusa / Xaver’ defies description and its mutant sound could evoque ecstatic early minimal house references, kraut and concrete music. ‘Can I say’ is simply put the most elegant, languid way to say goodbye to an Ep that exudes sheer brilliance and character. One year after the release of Roland Kaiser Wilhelm's acclaimed „Indigo EP“, the Berlin/Cologne label Papercup Records delivers two top-notch remixes. While Roland relocated from Cologne to Berlin, also changing his label and adding more live-played funkiness to his Balearic Barock sound, Lucas Croon, the title track's remixer, still resides in the Rhine-capital (and home of DAF and Kraftwerk) Düsseldorf, where he deejays in the famous Salon des Amateurs as a resident, when not playing in his bands BAR (Band am Rhein) or Stabil Elite, producing his own music or working on movie soundtracks. But he has also been visible in the Berlin club-scene a lot lately (well, before Corona, that was), shaking the floor in places like Paloma Bar, ACUD or Arkaoda.

His „Indigo Blue Jeans Mix“ relies heavily on the famous slapbass patch from Korg's classic M1 synthesizer workstation, while also adding pitched real and sampled vocals and lush chords. Its playfulness suits the track pretty well, and the production is so rich in detail it's an extreme pleasure listening to it both in the club or on headphones. The beat evolving from broken into straight four-to-the-floor also makes it an ideal bridge track to clubbier parts in a set.

Conga Fever's „Hookah Mix“ of the track Archangelsk is a whole different affair, a deep, oriental journey with fat bass and a truly massive drop. It's still utterly melodic though, and the visionary melodic guidance sets itself apart from most of the current productions out there.

Both tracks have been lovingly mastered by Berlin's Steddy, who really knows how to meticulously shape the sound of any track in order to bring fatness to the dancefloor.
