Angelophrenia consists of ten original and conceptual tracks none of which can exist separately. This is neither a folk album nor a rock one. Angelophrenia is a big step forward – this album was created without any frames of genre, lyrics or expectations. In the basis of this album lays an old Melnitsa's slogan "New music of the ancient world". Life of the ancient world goes on with the music of new world yet the balance has become brighter. Here everything lives and naturally co-exists - warlike angels and unflying birds, sky cats and goose-swans, fornicatresses and smugglers, constellations and zeppelins, Memphis and Moscow, king Elvis and Mercury. This is the modern world of Melnitsa. Angelophrenia - is a clinical record and nothing in excess.Sound and arrangements were composed in the atmosphere of absolute freedom, beyond any borders, without any references to the previous albums. Aleksander Samoylov, professional arranger, is the person who brought to life the ideas doing it on the top of musical quality. In the album "Angelophrenia" co-exist both - flesh of drum section and guitars and the light air of harp, flute and percussion. No doubt that every musician involved into recording has improved their creative and professional skills.
